I Am

I am Brenda - blessed to be married 27 years to a wonderful man. We are parents to two daughters in their early 20's. At 52, I am in the process of becoming the person I was created to be. I am deeply spiritual and have found BFL to be a surprisingly wonderful way to connect with my true self. I look for, and see, the Divine in each person and event. I find my work in pastoral ministry to be at least as big a gift to myself as to the people that I serve.

To me, Transformation Means

Transformation is the journey of becoming my true self. It is not an end point, but the road that I travel as I go deeper within to acknowledge, to know, to become my whole self. It means allowing me to fully blossom and reveal the beauty that is within rather than to stay tightly budded – protected from harm, but never knowing the warmth of the sun. Transformation is looking in the mirror and seeing myself, not the mask I have been wearing.

My Goals

To be present to each moment. To be authentic. To lose my belly fat - 5" each from waist and hips. To be my BEST self - body, mind, spirit. Pray 1st, exercise 2nd, get ready for work 3rd, each work day. Be honest with myself and with others - remembering that all that is truth does not need to be said. Do an examination of consciousness prior to bed each night - allowing myself to be aware of how I lived this day, expressing gratitude for the graces of the day - have I been a blessing for someone else?, sorrow for my failures - have I been someone else's challenge?, and how I will choose to live tomorrow.

My Intentions

To keep the self-promises that I have made.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

Aside from family and friends, I would like to inspire anyone who needs it. In particular I want to touch those who are moving into their 50's and think it is too late to be their best self.
