What works, what doesn't, plan execution

Part of my restructuring my life to accomodate having quality time with my family has me working out in the mornings. Last week I had a few good morning workouts. Historically, working out in the mornings hasn't been something that I was able to do consistantly. I work at

2/15... I remember that date from somewhere...

Oh that's it, it was the date that was part of the original name of the Warriors of the Light group. It was a date that preceded my joining by about 2 weeks. I missed the boat on signing up for the first challenge of the year by about that much. I remember the excitement that I had when I did sign u...

Chris, what more could I ask for or need than your thoughts, prayers, friendship, and concerns? Those things mean the world to me and are more than strong enough to help get me over this hill. Hey, this is a blessing! At least I know what fight I'm in! And how to fight it! So many people out there today have much bigger problems than I do and don't yet even know it. And may not until it's to late. I've got time. And the ways and means. And you are one of the best ways and means I have, Chris. By following your example. By heading your advice. And by being strengthed by your continued support. Can't wait to see you again! Love ya! Uncle Dave

Chris, just wanted to tell you how awesome it was to listen to your story in Vegas. What a powerful example of transformation you are, and I am so inspired by it. What I liked most about your story was that it was not at its end. You are still accepting transforming experiences to happen to you, and you are taking them on with humility and courage. Look forward to getting to know you better. - Mike

I Am

Working through assignment 12 helped me shape a vision of my future, and helped me to see who I have already become more clearly. I began to see someone who looks strong and capable, with eyes glowing with the joy of true confidence. I began to see an inviting and happy smile. I saw myself feeling excited, on the edge of my seat over what tomorrow may bring. I felt powerful, competent, ready for anything, alive and connected, light from forgiveness, compassionate, humble and hopeful. I saw someone who is courageous from having faced his fears. I saw someone who had integrity, who held his word, and showed his values in his eyes, no matter the situation. I saw a father, role model, and leader, in tune with his instincts, and ready to show the way. I saw someone who I would most certainly want to have as a friend.

My Favorite Charity

Ok, I can honestly and without a doubt, now say: MAKE-A-WISH!!! with Agassi Foundation close second

To me, Transformation Means

Initially, I thought that Transformation.com was just about making physical changes and the lifestyle changes that would support them. As I completed my challenge, I saw that transformation is so much more than that. Transformation is about letting go of what was holding me back, realizing my potential, giving everything I can, and building a foundation for a life filled with my wildest dreams coming true. I never would have imagined that I would finish this transformation with my son and his love back in my life.
Through the assignments, I was able to transform by shedding off walls and layers that don’t serve me anymore, taking a good look at who I really am, and building my new life based on those discoveries.

My Goals

Overall Vision for this year:

This year I will build a foundation for a balanced, organized, and purposeful life.
It is finally time to let go of past regrets and disappointments, to start building forward momentum, to allow myself to have fun, and to reach out and connect with other people, developing and improving meaningful relationships along the way.
Despite my long-standing past beliefs, I can have a balanced life. It will require focused effort on my part. I will use this new balanced and organized approach to create a satisfying, financially secure, and healthy life filled with substantial accomplishments.

My Intentions

I intend to be the best father I can be for my little boy. Being a good father isn’t something you do in an instant, or for a week or month. My love for Parker and my involvement in his life will be a challenge, but I know that as he grows, I will ensure that aside from genetics, he gets the best of me.

As I revisit the wilderness and reclaim and build upon old skills. I will work to use that environment to help guide young people very similar to the ways I was so fortunate to experience early in my life. This is my calling.

I will just be me, I will be here, sharing what I can, and reaching out to those out there in the community ready to change. I will help push the transformation movement and our culture to the tipping point.

I will keep cleaning my room. Giving the very best I can to people looking to make positive changes in their lives and the lives of others.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

There’s someone I know that I would love to inspire with my story. I have even started some, but he can be a little intimidating in this regard. Needless to say, I see a lot of me in him. He’s not very fit, and doesn’t seem very much into fitness. He’s a dad too. He’s my adorable little niece’s father. I don’t spend much time with him, but from my outside perspective I can’t imagine he feels very healthy or energetic. I’ve offered to take him to Denver with me. I’ve even offered to take him to the gym for a few sessions with my trainer. He seems comfortable where he is, and I know what that feels like. My love and adoration of his little girl is a strong motivator in my desire to see him start to live a healthier life. I think about her when she gets older, and I worry about her not having him there for her later in her life. We all grow old. Some suffer unforeseen accidents. At one point or another, we shed ourselves of these bodies, but to know that I’m accelerating the process and possibly shaving days or years off of the time I have with my son is something I just can’t take. I’ve said often to his mother that I am so grateful that Parker got to meet me now, and not me a year ago, and not just because I was fat. I imagine a happier and more energetic father in my niece’s life, and it inspires me. I’m not done. I’m going to keep trying to inspire him in my friendly way. And as I’ve looked around, around town, I see so many other people who look unhealthy and unhappy, and I worry for their children. I want to help all of them. Perhaps they’re there because they too are comfortable. It’s hard to step out of that comfort zone, I know.
