Wake up call

I Am

E- AL- FEE
ALIVE!
ABLE BODIED!
APPRECIATIVE!
INFECTIOUS (in a good way)!
AN OFFICAL TRIATHLETE as of MAY 10th, 2009!
AND A ROUND 1 2009 FINISHER

Once afraid of the treadmill, I completed The Danskin Sherox Triathlon on the last day of my first 18 week challenge. Since then, I suffered an injury training for Denver, and had to bow out. It was a blow to the ego and I struggled to find my footing again (pun intended). But here I am, again, persistent and hopeful, healed and more aware of the need for proper footwear. I As the sibling of a special needs person, I would love nothing more that to reach those with disabilities and the youth of today with the POWER of PURPOSE and FITNESS that I am finding here at Transformation.com. I am currently fulfilling the requirements necessary to become a Certified Special Olympics Coach.

I used to think I needed money to philanthropic, but I'm beginning to understand the possibilities to be a philanthropist are endless-regardless of paygrade.

My Favorite Charity

Special Olympics

To me, Transformation Means

trans⋅for⋅ma⋅tion: change in form, appearance, nature, or character.I'd love to be "unrecognizable" in thought, word, deed, & physical self- so completely removed from my current thought process, actions, speech, & physical appearance. Transformation would mean not just a physical change, but a spiritual healing from past experiences that have led me to fear pressing on in God, & a "reset" in my thought process that would give me liberty to hope for the dreams & desires I have to minister again.

My Goals

My current goals include completing the HOLIDAY CHALLENGE (while working full time as a pastry chef in a 5 diamond resort in Palm Beach), all while striving for organization & balance in my home, homeschooling, and professional life. Lose 50 pounds+ increase strength, endurance & agility run a half marathon in February 2010, coach Special Olympians locally, and to change my thoughts, my speech, my action, and intentions to be a blessing to others.
Another, is to live a philanthropic life. I desire to promote philanthropy in my current circumstances, rather than waiting to have something more substantial to give.
Oh, yeah...and I want my Mojo back.

My Intentions

are to glorify God in every thought, action and fruit in my life. My intentions are to start this program, follow through, and see victory, with hard work, focus, and God's grace. And make it fun! I believe you become who you hang out with, and that is why I am here....hanging out with Champions!

Who I'd Like to Inspire

My children, my husband, my friends, and others who can relate to my story and desire to get past the past and move forward "full potential ahead." Special Olympians and those with special needs, who often get overlooked in the area of physical fitness, as other needs in their lives are so overwhelming to their care givers. I want to be that person that makes everyone I come in contact with feel better, sense hope, & want to be better themselves. I WANT TO BE INFECTIOUS with the LOVE & JOY of GOD'S HOPE! I've met people like that before, & I'm just realizing that maybe I can be that person myself. We ALL can be "that person," right?
