My Goals: Finding Out Who I Am & Giving It Away

PHYSICAL
- Get 7 – 8 hours of sleep each night
- Plan/record my meals and exercise and post
- Cook my way through Eating for Life, making at least one new recipe each week
- Eat six small protein/carb balanced meals plus supplements (and add veggies 2x) daily
- Drink 10 glasses of water per day
- Honor my Training Schedule for all 18 weeks
- Stretch each night before bedtime
- Take weekly progress pictures
- Post weekly progress report
- Train to run first half marathon and first marathon injury free
- Run first half marathon in Dallas on March 14 in under 2:30:01
- Run first marathon in South Bend Sunburst on June 5
- Increase muscle tone and strength
- Increase energy and endurance
- Lose 11 – 13 lbs. of scale weight, at least 11 of which will be fat (to reach goal of 126 – 128 lbs).
- Lose 6.9% - 8.9% body fat (to reach goal of 13 – 15% body fat)
INTELLECTUAL
- Complete all 18 Transformation lessons and assignments and post
- Respond to Bill’s emails about feedback for his book chapters
- Take quizzes and final exam (as applicable)
- Increase knowledge about how to transform my body, mind and spirit
- Write at least one blog each week and post
- Study best practices for novice runners by reading Hal Higdon and Jeff Galloway books/websites as well as Runner's World magazine/website
- Learn how to train effectively with a heart monitor by reading book/websites
EMOTIONAL
- Increase my network of support and accountability by leading and participating in groups
- Listen to radio show on Thursday nights
- Watch TTV for inspirational stories of Challenge Champions
- Record “Thorns & Roses” video diary on a weekly basis and post
- Share inspirational quote and brief reflection in “My Group” each week
- Get home from work on time
- Honor family routine and commitments on our calendar, especially: Finance Night (2x/month); Family Business (2x/month); Date Night (2x/month); Puppy Training (3x/week); Relationship Assessment (1x/week); Exercise with Husband (1x/week); Quality Time with Husband (1x/week); and Worship (1x/week)
- Increase resiliency, especially during adversity, by practicing tools for rest and renewal
- Finish Challenge by 2nd wedding anniversary
SOCIAL
- Grow my friendships in this community by leading and participating in groups
- Connect with t.com members on a daily basis (walls; emails; forums; blogs; radio/chat)
- Visit “My Group” at least 3 times per week to post to threads and check on friends
SPIRITUAL
- Engage in shared prayer in morning and evening daily by remembering intentions of community members
- Spend time with my Spiritual Director at least once a month
- Attend church on Sundays
- Create our Marriage Vision Statement
- Create our Relationship Assessment
- Increase discipline, balance and boundaries
Giving it away…
PHYSICAL
- Create and lead a group, encouraging posts on nutrition and exercise as well as progress reports/pictures
- Encourage other members of the t.com community to run/walk half marathon in Dallas
INTELLECTUAL
- Create and lead a group, sharing blogs about themes that emerge each week
- Share what I learn from the lessons and assignments with those people I hope to inspire
EMOTIONAL
- Continue to grow our marriage by working with my husband to honor our family routine and commitments on the calendar
- Create and lead a group in which I share blogs, inspirational quotes and video diaries
- Inspire at least 12 people to be ALL IN for this challenge
- Raise money for Susan G. Komen, Breast Cancer Research, in honor of Casey (a dear friend who had a double mastectomy at age 30)
- Inspire Bill “to be bigger than Oprah” by DOING MY BEST!
- Play crucial role in Bill’s goal of “worst to first in 10 years” by GVING MY HEART AND SOUL TO THIS CHALLENGE!
- Submit assignments, final pictures and final essay to t.com (if applicable)
- Inspire Bill to invite me to serve t.com in a formal capacity (coach; writer; chaplain)
- Earn a title of Champion in 2010 Transformation Challenge
SOCIAL
- Increase network of support and accountability for friends on t.com through “My Group”
- Visit “My Group” at least 3 times per week to post to threads and check on friends
- Connect with t.com members (walls; emails; forums; blogs; radio/chat; groups)
- Share my “best practices” for challenge with anyone who wants them
SPIRITUAL
- Create and lead a group, engaging in shared prayer (twice daily) for the intentions of members of t.com community, and invite others to do the same
- Share our Marriage Vision Statement with friends on t.com
- Share our Relationship Assessment with friends on t.com
