Heather's post

Taking the good

Last week when I ended my 18 week challenge and took my measurements I couldn't believe my progress.  I thought for sure the measurements were wrong.  I started out at 18.7% BF and my goal was 16% BF.   My measurements ended up being 14.1%BF.  I even had Jeremy measure me without looking at the measurements taken before to see if they were accurate.  They were.  I thought my abs would be popping out more at 14% so I did a search of images of women with 14% BF and I did see some similarites to confirm that this was real.  STILL....  I asked him to measure me again because I just couldn't believe it and he just reassured me that those were right.

My hubby is so cool he encouraged me not to cheat myself of all my hardwork and progress that I have made this year.  He said it's like when someone gives you a compliment that you did something good or you look nice and you say back,"Oh no I don't or it was nothing..." You are cheating that person of the compliment(gift) they gave to you.  He said what I was doing was cheating myself out of all the hardwork I had done and I should just celebrate it and not question it.  You'd think HE was the one on T.com all the time and not me...LOL!

And it reminds that I am continually growing....learning....transforming.....

Great work Heather. So happy to see your "not cheating yourself" of well deserved victory! Now, keep rocking it girl. Next goal, washboard abs. You know they are probably there and you haven't learned how to contract and hold them. This was the case for me. I was working with a trainer on posing for a competition. It wasn't until I laughed that I saw the abs. Once I learned how to "flex" them, I realized they had been there all along. Go find a mirror and laugh girl. You'll see em. :)

You are gorgeous and your husband is right. Accepting the compliment is not always easy but it is deserved. IF you cannot "agree" just say thank you as you earned that acknowledgment with your hard work, self control and planning! You are inspiring! :+) RR
