What I Want to Be When I Grow Up (Update 2)
As I mentioned in the first two posts on this topic, the Cruise and this Transformation Challenge has made me take a hard look at myself.
I have rediscovered my passion for helping others and am taking it to the next level.
I have just completed my examination for the Personal Trainer Certification and mailed it out last night. I registered for this 12-14 week course on August 8 and submitted on September 22, literally blowing my goal of mid-November (the end of my challenge) out of the water. I am so sure I passed that I have a bottle of bubbly waiting for me in the fridge for the day I get my results.
People have come out of the woodwork over the last number of weeks telling me they would be seeking my help. I think that, combined with my mom's health scare, have been catalysts for me to finish quickly. As well, it has lead me to seek certification as a Specialist in Nutrition to ensure I can offer it all to my clients (as we all know, diet is 80% of the equation to a better, healthier body). I can't wait to apply this new-found knowledge and see where this road will take me.
My revised goal is now to have the Specialist in Nutrition completed by mid-November, which will be a real challenge, given that I work full time and am taking 2 university courses as well as this online course.
I am grateful for every step I take in this new direction. It is very exciting and makes me feel ALIVE!
Here's to finding your passion and going for it! There really is no feeling like it.
Yours in fitness, always.
Hélène

I am so excited to hear about someone following their passion, I can't wait to find mine. -- Lisa
Goal setting and accomplishing them are truly "highs" in life. I can't imagine ever stopping and not reaching for something higher, something more within me to discover.
