What I want to be when I grow up...
This Transformation Challenge is really making me take a good hard look at what I am doing. The funny thing is that the physical goal is there and I'm doing most of what I have to, but it's the mental challenge that is the real driver this time around.
This last Cruise opened my eyes to so many aspects of my life that I have not been addressing that I had a really hard time getting my head around it all when I got back home.
I have decided that I want a change and my husband realized he wanted one too (though we had individually thought about it, we have just now started to talk about it). I guess we are exploring what we want to do when we grow up together.
I like my work in telecom but I want to do more to help others. So, I decided to help by assisting my Kickboxing instructor 2X per week. I am enjoying it and have discovered that I have a passion for helping others achieve goals they have set for themselves, not letting them back down from what they truly want (whether it be building strength, running a marathon, learning Muay Thai, doing 50 pushups, whatever). That has lead me to a decision to pursue my Personal Trainer Certification through ISSA. I should have that completed by the end of this Transformation Challenge (13 weeks or so).
In speaking with a few friends, it appears that I have potential clients all around me. I am very excited at the prospect of helping others experience a transformation of their own.
Let's see where this road takes me. I'm hanging on for the ride.
