Open Your Mind, Open Your Heart

The world is full of different and wonderful people. I met many at this weekend's event in Knoxville TN.

I met people from all walks of life with one thing in common: we are all trying to better ourselves as human beings and we are all trying to better understand our place in this world.

The wonderful thing about us all is that our ultimate common destination is one of self actualization, but we will all follow different paths to move closer and closer to it with every moment and every breath. Some of us will have it easier than others and some of us will wander off our given path from time to time, but the important point is that we are all worthy to aim for the same goal of living a rich and full life, making the world a better place by our presence, actions and efforts.

I wanted to share this message to offer the following thought:

As long as a person's intentions are pure, does it matter what their belief system is? As long as someone does something for the betterment of our world, does it matter if their values and how they came to be are different than our own? I firmly believe the answer is a resounding "no". The basis for the force that is causing benevolent action that will only help improve this world is the same for everyone at its purest level. Any other specifics or caviates are just noise.

I hope we can all open our hearts and our minds to believe that each person is fundamentally good, as we all stem from the same source and that action and intention is what matters, not the nature of the belief system it is based upon.

Let's love thy neighbor and appreciate how we are all different and wonderful beings.

Namaste.

Nice and thanks for just being you.... I loved the chance to sit down and have dinner with you in Denver even if it was airport food :-P See you soon.

AMEN! Praise the lord, pass the peanut butter, and Buddha loves you. The destination is the important part, now how we get there. Awesome to get to spend time with you and put a face and name together. I'll hopefully see you in February!
