I Am

I am an honest and caring 38 year old man who is drifting through life at the moment and not living it. My weight has caused my self image and self esteem to be in the cellar for quite some time now. At times I catch myself asking if I have truly given up ever accomplishing my dreams and goals in life. I want to start living my life, accomplishing my goals and dreams and inspire others along the way. I got out of the Marine Corps in 1995 and know the value of honor, courage and commitment and it's time to get back to those values within me as it relates to my health and well being.

To me, Transformation Means

Getting the absolute most out of life. Having the confidence, energy, and motivation to reach my goals and lead a healthy, rewarding life.

My Goals

My short term goal is to stay on this program for 4 weeks. They say after doing something for 2 weeks it becomes habit. I've been up and down with my weight for the last 9 years or so. I'm at my heaviest I've ever been right now, at 278 lbs. I'd start a healthy eating and exercise lifestyle routine and at the longest it went for 4 months. The biggest problem with staying in the healthy mindset is giving up alcohol. I can relate to Chris Winters story tremendously. I figure years are made up of months, months made up of weeks, and weeks made up of days, so just string enough positive days together and I'll reach my short term goal before I know it.
Intermediate goal is to get to the Dallas Event. In fact watching the video of the October event and reading Bill's blog about the upcoming March event in Dallas gave me motivation to finally get my Assignment One done and get my BEST YEAR started.
Long term goal is I want to be physically fit and healthy. What specific weight or waist size that is I don't really know at this point. I believe accomplishing this will give me the confidence in myself to accomplish my goals and desires. I want to get involved with the Big Brother program, to help develop young kids grow into productive positive adults. I also want to give back to the military by helping vets in some way.

My Intentions

My intentions throughout my first Transformation cycle is to develop not only my body but to renew my sense of spirit and pride I once had in myself. Put the living back in my life.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

Everyone who thinks they can't get back into shape, because I'm going to do...
