I Am

I am a husband to a wonderful woman and a father to three beautiful daughters. I am a religious man that believes in God and blessings and actively participate in my religion. I am a Scout Master for a Boy Scout Troop in my church and it is one of my great joys outside of my family.

I am an obese man who desires a change to become the person I want to be. I care most about my wife and 3 daughters and need to get in shape so I can scare away the boys that will be coming around. J
I like to do outdoor activities but have been more limited in the last few years as I have gotten bigger and have a harder time breathing.

It is time to change.

To me, Transformation Means

Getting in to a different mindset that tells me to get off the couch and to quit eating so much and get in shape. A transformation that I can see in my mind and imagination but needs to come over into the physical realm.

A way to be healthy and not dread going to the doctor or dread having my wife get a call because I had a heart attack or other weight related issue. I would like to avoid getting adult onset diabetes like my Mom and younger brother.

The biggest transformation I hope to accomplish is to change my mindset and learn that I can control my appetite and body and that it does not control me. I have limiting beliefs that hold me back and most of them are weight related. I hope to be able to overcome these at the same time so that I can be the man, husband, father, and leader that I would like to be.

My Goals

I have been overweight most of my life. I was 220 and wearing a size 36 pants in Middle School and it has gone up from there. My Goal is to get down to 180 lbs and to get into a size 32 pants..

I have a long way to go as I am currently at 260 and wearing a size 40.

My doctor told me I am at the verge of adult onset Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, High Colesteral, and having an extremly fatty liver. He told me that if I do not lose weight, I may not make it another 10 years. As my oldest daughter is only 10 and I would like to see her get married and have children, then I need to lose the weight.

My Intentions

My intentions are to take this challenge seriously and to change my body and my mindset. To lose the weight and to keep it off. To be in the best shape of my life. To quit eating all of the junk food and to be healthy.

To be a better husband to my wife. To be a good father and to enjoy life again with my family. To get out of the rut that being overweight has let me fall into. To climb out and be free and to help others see the light and make a change in their lives.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

I would like to inspire my wife who has always stood beside me. To inspire others that need it like my mom, brother, and several adult members of my Boy Scout Troop who are all overweight and having health problems.

Once I have them inspired and I am full of health, vigor, and confidence, I want to inspire others around the world to cast of the shackles of addiction by teaching them they can overcome anything.
