Lessons from a 8 year old
OK I was talked into babysitting my 8 year old neice whom I love dearly. She wanted to go swimming so off to the YMCA we went. You have to understand it is so hard to get in a bathing suit and face the public. All the stares etc. Anyway it was strange because we had the whole pool to ourselves. So what do 8 year olds do? They make up fun games! I am so far from 8 I had forgotten. The next thing I knew we were racing back and fourth the length of the pool, doing hand stands and walking on our hands and swimming under each others legs. If was so fun I can tell you the feeling was amazing and for about 2 hours I was 8 again. My heart felt so light and I had really forgotten all my worries for those two hours and the bonding for both of us was amazing. So I encourage all of you to grab a kid and go play! You wont regret it.
