2009 Spring Transformation - Assignment 11

What do I really want?-I want to know that I have done my best to do all I can with what God gave me here. Now I know that is a pretty broad statement, and I won't ever say to myself, "Okay I'm here, I've arrived." No, no, no; instead, that statement is something I will always be working to refine and make better. I want to continually learn and grow and challenge myself to be the most positive, helpful, caring, and loving person I can ...

Every man (person) is my teacher in that I may learn from him (them). -Unknown.  This powerful quote is a daily inspiration to me. Whenever I feel like "I know, I know," I will try to take a step back and remember that other people can always teach me something....especial...

Hitting a Wall???

As the leader of an accountability group...I've been noticing several people in my group that are hitting a wall.   If you have been hitting a wall lately,Let's take a step back here and think about what you've been doing over the past few months... You decided to be the change in your life and in the lives of others. You set up goals, plans, and ideas as to what that meant to you and for you.You have been working tirelessly...inner...

2009 Spring Transformation - Assignment 8

The lowest level habit I have is a struggle with confidence by feeling inadequate and inferior when I shouldn't At times I feed very confident and powerful and that I will accomplish what I set out to do.Other times, I feel inadequate and inferior. I'm confronting and working to conquer this habit by putting myself out there...out of my comfort zone to accomplish what I know I can do!! I will not live with fear or self-doubt. Often, I will questi...

2009 Spring Transformation - Assignment 7

Ken's Assignment #7The only thing I really have absolute control over in life is what I think about. How I think will lead me to do what I do....to perceive the way I will perceive. So, for me, the most important environment I can change to become a Right Environment is by creating and fostering a positive, nuturing, caring mindset. Where the mind goes, the body will follow. Here is a quote I posted in our inspiration thread a while ago...Native ...

2009 Spring Transformation - Assignment 5

Bill says, "One of the most powerful ways to accelerate your transformation is by setting a strict deadline for when you’ll achieve certain results. And, to add even more fuel to the fire, it helps to have both a prize and penalty."Those are great words of advice, and have helped me succeed in two transformations previously. My external deadline for this Transformation is May 25.I have also set a number of internal deadlines to re...

2009 Spring Transformation - Assignment 4

"Life's most urgent question is: What are you doing for others?"~Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This quote helps me define my purpose.... Illinois Transformers Get Together

Well, well, well. What can I say for this 'little gathering' we had over this past weekend? Two heartfelt words....Simply Awesome. We started out on Friday night at a restaurant near the hotel. My best workout ever at the Gym...

...and I didn't even lift a weight. Let me explain. I got up at 4 a.m. like usual on Fridays. I got myself ready, checked in on my sleeping kids and went outside to fire up the big Ford. My truck let out a couple of mad groans and pops, but finally complied and let out a nice puff of bluish white smoke. Now I was on my way to the Y to meet Marty and Diana for our Lower body workout. We absolutely fried our legs this past Monday and I was look...

2009 Spring Transformation Assignment #1

An honest Assignment # 1 is the foundation of a successful transformation. My first transformation dealt primary with physical changes. Now, however, I want to use assignment #1 to focus on clearing out some of what I call \'conscience pests\' out of my mind. For instance, I have some deep down feelings of pain and hurt from my dad and other family members. These feelings stem from years and years of negativity, as much my fault as anyon...

Getting stuck on Goals for Transformation?

Goals are vitally important to making those deep inner changes that result in a true and real Transformation...body,mind, and Spirit. I have experienced, (both for myself, and for others) that people sometimes get stuck when it comes to setting goals. Now for me, setting the physical goals are pretty straight forward and clear cut. I will workout 3 times a week with weights, 3 times a week cardio, and eat as clean as possible, and my physical tra...

Whose life is better because you woke up today?

I just read an article about Will Smith and his new movie, Seven Pounds. Seems Will is going right down the Transformation Superhighway because he said, "It's all about helping others." He said he enjoys being a movie star and all, but he wants to ask himself "Whose life will benefit by the fact that I am waking up today?"  I thought that was a very genuine, 'profound yet simple' statement. I decided to ask myself that ve...

A Marathon of Inspiration

Man, I just finished looking at the pictures from the marathon, and read a few of the forums, and I am stoked! I simply can't express how excited and 'in tune' I feel after reading about  this great weekend.  The amount of happiness, excitement, and inspiration in Denver can certainly be felt on T.com. But even more important is how each of us will use all those beneficial things to bring more to our own transformations. I just wan...

Thanks to All

After finishing a recent Transformation Challenge I received at a seminar, I have started to Be the Change. I often read this little tale to remind myself some important things.A Tale of Two Wolves  One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, “My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all. The first wolf is evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance...

To me, Transformation is...

It started with better health, which inspired a positive attitude. This attitude compelled me to focus on every aspect of my life in a good way. When I started that challenge, my girlfriend and I were split up, which sent my three year old daughter into some very rough times. However, one direct result of my transformation was getting back together after a 3 year split, and we were married in January, 2001. We've been back together 8 years n...
