Week 3 - Commitments

I am in the middle of my 3rd week. I am really enjoying reading the posts on the "Apprenticeship 5" Group Forum. I wanted to join, but I can't commit to posting my food daily, especially the photos. With my 3 kids under four I am lucky if I get online each day. I like the way Chris set it up so I decided I would try to do what I can on my blog. My commitments\goals for the week are:1. To do my workouts 6 days this week.2. Focus on my Up...

Week 2 - What I learned

What I learned this week...That if I whine enough... I won't get anywhere. I won't make any progress. Not an ounce. This led to me planning my food and preparing for the week ahead. That if I miss a workout or maybe even two that I am not a failure and that I don't need to call it quits. I made myself get on that Treadmill after two days of not workingout and I was able to continue with my transformation. Despite what my brain was telling me....

Week 2 - Not doing to well on assignment # 3

I am continuing with my workouts one at a time. Yesterday, my whole body told me not to work out, but I made myself do it. I fought it the whole time, but when it was all said and done I felt better. Today's workout just happened, even if I had one thousand items on my to do list. In the end, I was happy I did it. So now instead of trying to catch up on what needs to get done in my life, I am catching up on my health. I look forward to seeing pro...

Week 1 - 1 down 17 to go.

Week 1 is now officially over. I am proud to say that I did my workouts everyday this week. It was a good week and although I don't feel any lighter, I did have more energy all week. Next week I will focus on the food. I bought the eating for life book and thankfully I have learned a lot from just one day of reading. This is the hardest part for me, but reading Bill's book he put me at ease, he makes it sound so easy. For now I will work hard to ...

Assignment #1

I finally completed all of assignment #1. I posted the pictures yesterday. I wouldn't let a soul see me in this clothes in public, yet I am posting it on the internet for all the world to see. Someting just is not right with that. As far as my self assessment, well I am my own worst critic so I was able to fill that page up in a jiffy with all the thoughts I have about the way I look. It was not easy to visualize myself in the future, but as I sa...

Day 3 - Keeping steady

I am enjoying reading the numerous blogs and learning so much along the way. Day 3 has come and gone and I have been able to do my workouts 3 days in a row. With each day I have pushed myself farther than I thought I was capable and I am really happy that I did that. I am journaling my exercise, but I have not started to really plan nor journal my food. I plan to do that next week when I move forward with assignment #3. For now I am trying to get...

Day 1 - my new beginning

I got through Day 1. Today I did Assignment # 1 which I will post tomorrow. I attempted to begin the 6 meals a day, even if they were not the right amounts or the right combinations. My ultimate goal for the day was to get my exercise done. I planned it, I did it, I'm happy.  ...

Simply Amazed

Yesterday evening I was walking on my treadmill and my thoughts were focused on discipline. My lack of it. You see since I got pregnant with my first child in January 2004 I have done nothing but gain weight. 3 children later and with my youngest approaching 1 year old, I knew I needed to do something and something soon.As I continued my slow but steady walk, I thought back to what had worked in the past for me, that I knew had a solid foundation...
