Lastearthling's post

I just posted my 8-week progress photo from last week- still very hard to do

Well, I just posted my 8-week progress photo from last week- this was still very hard to do.  I have definitely lost weight- on the scale I am fluctuating between 10-11 pounds lost since I started and I am just closing week nine this week.  I eat healthfully and on program every day, 6-days a week.  I exercise every day, 6-days a week. I take a break one time a week and try to just have a free meal & dessert so I don't feel sluggish and wiped out the next day.

I am proud of myself because I have a routine now, built into my lifestyle, just like brushing teeth every morning and night.  For example, I have about 4 breakfast favorites that I rotate thru and keep on hand all the time, and a few staple lunches mixed up with "planned overs" from the previous dinners.  I pull the meat out of the freezer every night before bed for the next day's dinner.

I work out usually between 4:30-5:30 in the evening because I am back to work teaching again for the new school year and being a high school teacher I have to be there very early in the moring.  But, this is working for me, and I am consistantly having success with this schedule.  In the summer time I was exercising in the mornings some times and then in the evenings when I missed the morning.  Now I am on the everyday in the afternoon routine.

I still feel like I don't look good yet- especially my butt/legs area.  But, I am trying to focus on the positive too-

  • I have lost a pant size and all of my clothes look so much better on me
  • Lots of people have noticed that I have lost weight
  • I am able to do all of my exercises properly now, in fact, I have a friend who has asked me to call her whenever I work out because she likes my help (she felt a little intimidated before)
  • I am able to do 65 sit ups now!  When I first started I could barely do 12
  • I have defined triceps now, and when I make a muscle with my arms, you can actually see the biceps
  • I know that I am "doing" something about my weight issues instead of just complaining and eating more candy bars.  I no longer eat a candy bar every day. I feel proud of my food journal because it is honest and filled up with pages and pages of healthful eating
  • Bill says that after a couple of months all of our cells are repenishing themselves, so with all this healthy eating, my body has just got to be doing better and I hope this will help add years to my life

Best wishes,

Sherry
