My Diet Staples
Do you enjoy that warm, fuzzy feeling after a satisfying meal? I know I sure do. To maintain optimum muscularity while achieving overall leanness, this can be a challenge. When I'm on a calorie-budget, I still enjoy consuming large quantities of high nutrient foods - it just comes down to reading those tricky nurtition labels. To create a few shortcuts for YOU I'm including a few of my diet staples! These foods are highly nutrient-dense while maintaining a low caloric-density! The best of BOTH worlds!
My Diet Staples:
La Tortilla Factory Tortillas (Only 50 calories per tortilla!! High in Fiber and Protein!)LOVE them with just about ANYTHING! Tacos, Chicken Wraps, even Natural peanut butter and bananas! mmm mmm.
Smart Dogs "hot-dogs" (I get the JUMBO!) Only 80 calories per dog - and a whopping 17 grams of Protein!Whoop!
Boca Burgers (Usually found in the frozen section) I love Flame Grilled, Veggie, and Bruscetta! YUMM-O! Typically run anywhere between 70-100 calories per burger with 10-15 grams of Protein.
Fiber One Cereal (Higher fiber usually equals higher level of satiety) Only 60 calories and over HALF of your daily fiber requirements per serving! I enjoy this cereal with protein instead of milk! The perfect combination of complex carbohydrates and protein to hold you over until your next meal. And did I mention: Delicioso!
...more to come!

How about some advice on reading those tricky nutrition lables. Like what's a good number and what's a bad one? I always get confused! But not in a demented sort of way!..Great post...Thanks.
Love it! Keep it simple is what I say. Thank for all of your wonderful ideas. You are such an asset to this site. God bless you, Kimberly
Wow! You rock!! These staples sound great. I have been spending too many hours in the kitchen with my "Eat Clean Diet Cookbook," cooking my meals and spending the rest of my night cleaning up after myself! How exhausting! I barely had time to workout, and I was always stressed about having enough food for my 10-12 hour work day. The idea of packing tortillas, peanut butter, fruit, and some smart dogs sounds like a quick way to get all my meals and enough protein! THANKS!
Does calorie budget = precontest. If it does I would like to hear a more detail food day agenda. I'm working hard, eating right, and working on spiritual aspect of life as well.
