I Am

I'm a 36 year old stay-at-home mom with 3 beautiful kids. Hannah is 7 and has Cerebral palsy (she is 100% dependent on me), Noah is 6, and Kayla is 4. My kiddos mean the world to me, and I will be a positive example and role model for them. Although having 3 c-sections within 3 years didn't do my body any favors, I've struggled with my weight and chronic major depression almost my entire life. I never really knew how to enjoy life or be happy and was merely living day by day waiting and hoping for my life to end.

My weight and mindset definitely held me back, but since I began my transformation on July 20, 2009, I am 125lbs lighter, and I've gained an incredible amount of insight. It hasn't been an easy road, but one well worth taking. I'm thankful for believing that change was possible, making the decision to put in the effort, and taking action to make it happen. It took a lot of strength and determination throughout my journey, but ultimately I was able to change my life, my family's life, and the lives of countless others. I enjoy living in the moment with my newfound confidence! Transformation has become my lifestyle. I admit that initially making the decision to change was scary, but now that I've experienced how amazing it feels to be truly ALIVE, I absolutely LOVE IT!

To me, Transformation Means

Continually transforming into the person I was made to be physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

My Goals

To work out at least 5 (preferably 6) days a week and eat the EFL way 6 days a week, so I can continue to lose weight (ultimate goal is to lose another 20 lbs.)

To be aware of my thoughts and feelings and live in the moment so I keep a positive attitude and accurate perceptions of the world around me.

To be aware of other people and help out as often as I can so I can have a positive contribution to society and feel good about it.

My Intentions

I intend to continue working on my thoughts, feelings, actions, nutrition and exercise so I can continue to live a healthier lifestyle and gain even more confidence, strength, and courage so I can take care of my kids (including my 6 year old daughter with severe physical and developmental special needs) and be an inspiration for others. I want to live life to it's fullest and be the person God intended for me to be.

MISSION STATEMENT: I will continue to transform my life in a positive direction and follow God's plan for me so my perseverence, positive outlook, and magnetic personality will inspire, encourage and support others as they do the same.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

Most of all, I'd like to inspire my kids so they don't have to deal with all the issues that I dealt with from being overweight practically my whole life. I also want to inspire as many other people as I can. I want people to know that it is possible to go from merely surviving and getting through each day only to dread the next, to truly living life to the fullest. It all starts with a conscious decision to change. It's awesome to think that the best days of our lives are still to come!
