Intensity

 Bill say’s …

“You see, it’s not so much what exercises we do but rather how we do them that matters the most. We must perform these exercises intensely to produce rapid results”.

This is from my last Blog…

“Remarkable as it may seem, these two scientific studies are just a couple examples of the growing body of scientific work which substantiates that people who regularly participate in volunteer work, who have a service heart, and give their time and energy to helping others, are less prone to illness, depression, and they report a greater quality of life. They’re generally happier. And I contend they’re generally healthier from the inside out. And since that’s where we want to go, there’s an important lesson here. And that is, quite simply, that our well-being and our health cannot be a selfish endeavor. When it benefits the greater good – when it helps others as much or more than it helps ourselves – then we are making a change that makes a difference.”

An interesting thing happened to me today.  I was kicking myself for unintentionally getting someone to think poorly of me the other day. The resulting affect on me was a state of restlessness and basically being uncomfortable. It is kind of like exercising with out giving it your best. I knew I could help these people more, So I went out of my way today to find these people and offer them a solution to their request that we could work with.  By doing this, I was actually pushing myself harder mentally (with intensity and focus); to get the result I wanted. Time will tell to see if it works out. But just the fact I was thinking proactively to try harder along with taking action, was enough to give me that “warm fuzzy feeling” inside. If you know you can do better, well DO IT!

All is well here on the Eastern front!

Proud of you Mark! As the saying goes, "better late than never". It's okay to back up, when we didn't do our best and DO IT!
