Thoughts Shared...
Just picked up my before and after pics to include in my packet. Unfortunately, as many of you know, my before and during photos are poor quality. When I started my 18 week journey, I had not expectation that I would really be sending in an official packet. I could not think that far ahead. I also was is such a deep dark place that I was not sharing what I was doing with anyone - not even my husband. This journey began very private for me. In fact, as I have said before, I shared here more than I had shared with anyone about what went on inside me. So that means I was on my own to try and figure out how to take my photos. Luckily, I have a built in camera on my Mac Computer and it has a "Photo Booth" feature. It's pretty cool and made it easy for me to not let anyone in on what I was up to. I took my before pictures this way and then my 12 week status check (when I went a little crazy by then---making up for all the years of avoiding the camera). Anyway, by the time 18 weeks was rolling around, I opened up to my husband and even asked him to take my final pics with a real camera. They are not professional, but they are much better quality.
I was disappointed that I did not have good clear before pictures. As I said good bye and turned to leave, the nice lady that was helping me grabbed my hand and said "I don't know, but it seems from your pictures that you entered some type of contest. You look totally different - the change is amazing." And the most important words she said..."You are inspiring"
We each as individuals have the power to touch so many lives in this big world. It starts with ourselves and then extends out. Together we can make a positive difference in the lives of others. I think Bill Phillips is on to something :)

You have done amazing! My before pictures I thought would be ripped to shreds. I even threatened my hubby if he ever showed a soul those pictures and here I have them for the world to see on T com...anyways...they are a stamp of a time and a person long ago...I'm so proud of you and your journey! Yes...he is on to something HUGE...and it feels so good to be a part of something positive! Way to go Penny! You look beautiful! It doesn't matter what a photo looks like...you have truly transformed! and will welcome and help so many! yeahhhh Penny!

Penny I have the smae situation. My before pictures are blurry and are not head to toe. I didnt think I would stick to it at all. I had a 16 year history of doing nothing. So it is what it is and you should be very proud
Yes..my before photo are kinda dark to. But it's like you said...I was not thinking. You look great.
yes..my only before pics are HORRIBLE. there are only 3 of them. front side back...taken by my daughter with my cellphone camera. they are what they are...and there is NO WAY i am going back there to reshoot them. i can only pay it forward now and tell people to get a fairly good shot at the before and be consistent in time and place and distance from the camera to get a true gauge of the changes.. you ROCK, Penny...you are definitely a true winner in my book!

I'm so happy for you! It's hard to ever think those before photos will be of value way back in the beginning. They are very important. They serve as a billboard of what we never want to go back to. Proud of you, sista! XX ~S~
