Hi Micky, Thank you for the welcome! It's great to be here. Nice to meet you! Lee

Sorry Micky...my bad. I was surprised when I got on the call that Bea was on, and for some reason my mind just thought she would be taking notes last night. You know I think the world of you, and you are such a key to the success of the group. Keep up your awesome progress with your workouts and mindset...changes are noticed and applauded.

Yes, that darn scale is a liar and has been a serious source of discouragement in the past for me. But not this time! I REFUSE to let the number on the scale discourage me to the point of giving up. I have done that and it gets me way worse off.

Mickey- Gotcha on the meat thing! I was afraid it was for weight loss and glad to see that it is for a much better reason :)

Micky my friend, you are a sweetheart!! Thank you for your kind words about my knee and sending me your positive thought and healing energy. Specially coming from you I'll take every bit of it. You are a very powerful person from a spiritual perspective and I have true admiration for you. I had an MRI last year on this same (left) knee, when something very very similar happened. They gave me that same diagnosis. They gave me a cortisone shot and recommended the same exercises that I am already doing because I learned them years ago during physical therapy after a couple of knee surgeries on my right knee. The only thing I don't have access at home is the treatment they do with ice and electrodes. I hate that stuff, but it is *fantastic* for recovery. But don't worry my friend and here is my Promise to you: I will give it 3 weeks for the swelling and pain to improve. If by then there is no considerable improvement, I'll cave in, go to the doctor and ask for physical therapy. Thank you for your kindness and Love. Energized Hugs - Yoly

Micky when it comes to supplements I usually tell people to stick with the basic...before they branch out to more complex supplements. Fish Oil, Multi-Vitamins and Protein. Anyway 8 to 10 glasses of water helps with the cravings especially when your belly is full of water...you really need to slam some serious water early in the morning...when you awake after your body has been fasting. I can really tell now...I feel it right away...lol

Hi Micky, thank you for inviting me to the Eric and Debby group. Unfortunately, I'm very busy these times due to my new job and for the same reason I will not be able to join the unofficial challenge. But I wanted to profit from your message to thank you for the great effort you put in keeping this site alive. You are an example for all. Have a wonderful week. Berny

One more thing, if you crave sweets (like I do!) you may have a yeast imbalance - a coated tongue is a sure sign. Probiotics (30-50 billion CFUs), MSM (3000-6000 mg/day) and L-glutamine (1,000 mg taken at night) are all recommended for controlling that. L-glutamine also helps convert fat into lean muscle mass but she cautions on taking it only for a limited time - until cravings subside - so that your body's natural regulators can take over...

Hi Micky - just want to pass on some info from The Plan re: one of your posts. Recommended protein: at least 10 grams at breakfast, 15-40 grams at lunch and 40-70 grams at dinner. Protein content of sunflower seeds: 5 g/ounce; pumpkin seeds: 9 g/oz; almonds: 8 g/oz; cheese: 8 g/oz; chickpeas: 5 g/oz; chia seeds: 5 g/ 2 tablespoons; rice: 5 g/cup; animal protein: ~ 7 g/oz. Recommended to save animal protein until supper as having it at lunch can make you tired in the afternoon. Also recommend limiting dense carbs (rice, pasta, bread) to one serving per day for weight loss. Cheers, Colleen

Micky, Thank you so much for the belated Birthday wishes...This was my 40th & was probably the best birthday I have ever had. My husband & best friend threw a surprise party for me...It truly was a surprise. It was amazing to be surrounded by all these people I care about & who care about me. My kids had went to my friends for the day to play with her daughter, this was the cover story. They actually decorated the house & made me a cake. What a blessing it was! They all got together & bought me a Ipad mini, I had wanted one forever but knew I could not afford one. They even had it engraved on the back form my family & friends with love. How long have you been on this journey? I find it difficult to post to everyone, as you have to go back to the post then write then back etc. Is there an easier way...I see everyone post responses to everyone how do you do it...I have responded & then something goes wrong & I lose the whole thing...It can be very frustrating after typing a long response..lol Just wanted to touch base, so hope to chat soon,

Micky,Thank you for you nice words in my profile. Yes, I've done the MRI in previous occasions. This is not a new injury. It is just the aggravation of an old known condition that is all. ;o) Hey I Like your new profile pic. Nice hair cut!! Energized Hugs - Yoly

Sweet, sweet Micky. Thanks for the birthday greeting!! You are a rock when it comes to supporting everyone in the group, what would we do without you?! I wish for you every good thing today. And I hope that you get to experience all nature has to offer on a daily basis - 3 cheers for the waterfront walks! xo Colleen

To me, Transformation Means

I had it backwards. I thought it was ego to share my good. I thought it was ego to hide it away in darkness. Every good we share, increases good in world. Every connection brings a singular part into wholeness. Every healing increases health. Every loving action increases love.

I somehow believed that hiding goodness allowed it to increase. It did. It increased slowly inside me. Imagine... what would have been, had I allowed it to grow in in light? Had I allowed it to grow and increase along side the goodness of others? I think of the possibilities and I dream... and I believe that I will make this good dream of nurturing the good in myself and others - real. And when I do - WE will. WE is potent. WE is powerful. WE is goodness - together.

I have a powerful light inside of me. I am no longer broken. My light does not shine like a candle in darkness, because it is not so fragile. It cannot be blown out while I am living. And while I live, I will let it shine out. And no longer will I hide its lovely light.

My Goals

To talk less, listen more and take massive action in my life. To love by action as well as words. To change everything that needs changing in my life, mind, body and soul, and to celebrate every single bit of progress. To be grateful every single moment. To make every decision this way: "Is it toward love?" -or- "Is it away from love?" To grow closer to my human family in meditation, where our connection is strong and scintillating and healing. To give and serve and love, and live with all my heart, and to thrive.

To make my Survivor Website Moonsongs.net available in journal/book form to be distributed for free in DV shelters.

My Intentions

To do the next right thing, with gratitude and love, one beautiful moment at a time. To forgive, and to heal.
