I Am

I'm one of those people who discovered Body for Life years ago when it first came out. Since then, I have been trying repeatedly to finish a challenge. (Points for tenacity?) ;) I've started at least four challenges, but so far, I haven't finished one yet. The last one, Summer/Fall '08, I made it all the way to 12/18 weeks. Someone pointed out (thank you!) when I was being hard on myself that 12 weeks was the goal in the original challenge. Anyway, kicking myself is so counter-productive. The past challenges are just that..."the past." The "what now" is coming up in the new challenge starting Jan/Feb '09. I always get so excited at the beginning of new Challenges. Every time I participate in these challenges, I learn something new about myself. I learn about my limits, and about my excuses. I learn how to better my quality of life, one day at a time. Since the journey is just as important as the destination, if not more so, I don't look at the unfinished challenges as failures but as intense learning experiences. Now that we have this wonderful site, I feel connected to other people whose goals are the same as mine: self-actualization, helping others, paying it forward... There is such a wealth of knowledge here that is offered for free, from genuine people who really do care about helping everyone achieve what they have achieved in their own lives. You look at these people, it's like they're lit up from inside. I want that, with all my heart, for my life. They not only walk the walk and talk the talk, they want to help. I've learned more in this past challenge than in all the other ones I did on my own, combined. I know that one of the reasons I got as far as I did this last challenge was because of the folks here. So to them, I want to say, THANK YOU. I promise you, I'll never give up. Bring it on! :)

To me, Transformation Means

Everything. This is a vid I made of the Vision Board pics we've been assembling all year as a family. The music by Enya seemed to just go perfectly, like a quiet prayer: "May it be." I offer this for you, and all my T.com family, with love: May It Be.

My Goals

After reading Jim Terrell's profile, I have decided to write specific goals here beginning with a very simple dream I have had for years. I have used this dream sometimes for meditation -- I am running down a shaded country road. It's a gloriously beautiful day, and I'm strong, and light and, best of all, I'm not tired. I'm able to run and run and run. This is my specific dream -- to be able to walk, and then run, let's see -- I'll start with 1 mile -- without tiring.
