Dropped the ball

blog_9388.jpg

I thought about deleting this profile.  I've been so embarrassed about not finishing the 18-week challenge.  I got all the way to 12 weeks and ...

...what?  I don't really know what specifically caused me to give up.  Pain maybe but that's always been there.  Lack of visual results?  If so, that's lame. I  had plenty of non-visual results.  I was feeling better, had tons more energy, and I could do so much more.

My goal day came and went (Nov 1st) and I started to think about how to get back up, dust off and start over.  Before  I do that, I have to figure out where I went wrong so that it doesn't happen again.

Thanks for stopping by while I was gone to encourage me.  I've missed you guys.

So happy that you came back. You know that you felt better in those 12 weeks. Give it another shot. Be sure to focus on the assignments. You can do this!

T.com is a TEAM SPORT - so what if you dropped the ball ? One of us will help you pick-up and together, as a Team, we'll help you get that touchdown in the end zone (hmm, not bad - I don't really actually know anything about NFL - can you tell ? LOL !!) Paul :0)

I just want to thank everyone who wrote here. I didn't know anyone read this. It's been a while. I am so thankful and choked up right now (yes I'm a sap). You're right. I can do this. I'll never stop trying. Like the First Champion said: "They'll have to carry me out" of this challenge before I give up. Thanks so much again.

Hi Micky - I haven't visited my blog for a while and just saw a comment you left me on Sept. 24. No idea it had been that long! Sorry, whatever it was about, I'm sure it doesn't matter now. Hey! Congrats on finishing 12 weeks. Are you going to throw the whole thing away because you didn't do it the way you imagined? LIfe is always changing, plans don't always go 100%. Remember Bill's blog about Progress not Perfection? You've made progress, girl. Keep up the good work. I'll be back for the next challenge, so see you there.

Dropped the ball? Then pick it up from where you left off and keep going. This is not something you do for just a little while and then stop. It's lifelong... keep moving. ;->

Welcome back.

I don't know how familiar you are with the Body for Life (BFL) Challenge that Bill started back in 1997 (or so), but it is a 12 week plan that my husband and I completed in 2001 and 2003. You basically finished Bill's original program...you should not beat yourself up, as fewer than 5% of the folks that started the BFL Challenge went on to finish. You are part of that 5%!!! Now, decide what you how want to feel about yourself on February 15th (12 weeks from Monday)...focus on that goal...you know what you can accomplish in less than 3 months.. Use this weekend to plan your future, and keep us posted. Remember, YOU GET TO... Sylvia

Ya know...those who finished the 18 weeks are now done with the program and perhaps some of them are wondering what do I do now? Interesting. I want to congratulate you on your accomplishment and encourage you on your next journey!

First, making it 12 weeks is HUGE! You aren't alone. Many of us have done this. The important thing is you are here, recognize the improvements happening in your life and are willing to look at the situation and make necessary changes. We all get knocked down; but we can get up again. Glad to have you back. Let me know if I can help.
