Death refocuses you on life...
Tonight I got news of a third death in less than a week and a half... It almost seems like a bad dream.... The first, my friend's brother---on a motorcycle, less than a mile from his home. The Second,another friend's Dad at 73... and today a massive stroke of a guy I've known since I was 6 years old....a 48 year old man---That is right 48. No warning. Wife, three kids..... so so sad...
Vanity aside, why are we doing this? I remind myself that I want life-lots of it---vibrant life-- full of smiles, contribution, fun, surprises and creative pursuits. As I wrote to Stoney in his blog today, he does everything he does full out, that is the best. I think that kind of living leaves fewer regrets and edges out fear.
So as I rest my head on the pillow tonight I will pray for the healing of these families, pray for your success, my success and for each of us living full out.
