Doyle ... It was great to hear from you over in Central on the Michigan thread. I had begun to think that the State had been abandoned or evacuated ... Look forward to seeing you at the event on Saturday in Okemos. Rally the troops over there brother. Have a great weekend.

Doyle- I saw your progress photos in the Spring Forward Challenge link and you are looking stronger and slimmer in the waist. Very impressive to see that you are able to walk 4-5 miles now and do the 5-25 workouts. You inspire me!

I Am

My former name was Buccaneer. I have been struggling lately with a back injury. I am not able to work out or even walk. I am trying everything within my power to recover from this. In a moment of frustration, I deleted my account. I will not quit!

I am a father to 2 boys. My eldest is 18. I am very proud of him. He has turned out to be a good hearted and very intelligent young man.

My youngest is 11. He was diagnosed with Autism and is legally deaf. It has been a challenge. I have seen him overcome everything "the professionals" have said he wouldn't. They said he would not walk and wanted to put him in a wheelchair. He proved them wrong. They said he would never talk. At 7, he started and has not stopped. We celebrate every achievement he accomplishes, no matter how small it may seem. He has come so far.

I am so lucky to have married my best friend.

I want to complete this challenge for all three of them and myself.

To me, Transformation Means

Transformation means something different this time around. It was more about getting in shape and building my muscles in the past. I still want that, but my main focus now is to help myself heal. I know, losing the weight will take strain off of my back. These last 18 months have really affected my mindset and emotions. I work with individuals with disabilities. I have a much better understanding of how hard it is for some people to get out of bed, let alone stay motivated to find employment. I think god allowed this to happen so I would have a deeper compassion for the individuals I serve. I really hope I can heal and have another opportunity go go full force again in helping them.

My Goals

To get my waist down to 34 inches. Heal my back and become a healthier person all around. Become a better person and set an example for my family and friends.

My Intentions

Are to complete this 18 week challenge.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

I would like to inspire anyone that has tried and quit. I have done that so many times. I would like to inspire people with serious injuries or disabilities. Show them it can be done as long as you don't give up.
