Slow Starting

Finally starting to feel better. Was working out, and got so sore, I couldn't hardly get up out of bed, or the chair at my desk at work. I was walking FUNNY. We must keep going though. Coming on T.com helps keep me motivated more than anything else. Not much has been accomplished except for the...

I'm trying to stay positive, and not boo hoo allover myself. This is short and sweet for now. It's Sunday an...

Hi! Our Phoenix area group is planning a get together Jan 17th after the PF Chang 1/2 marathon. There are T.com members/champions from other states coming too. Even if you aren't planning on entering the marathon - please consider joining us. I will be cheering (not participating this time) and would love to have more members in the squad. Hi Nini, I saw your comment on Bill's Monkey Trap post and just had to stop by. I, too, suffer from food arrogance. Mine is a little different in that I do great for a while and convince myself that I don't need to do all the planing and prep and then food arrogance causes me to miss meals, eat bigger meals, become unfocused and lessens my work outs! I know I have to plan so I don't know why food arrogance keeps creeping up on me! Have a great day! --Vicki

Carmen, it was great to "meet" you tonight on the conference call with Clarissa. I'm very glad that you have seriously made the commitment this time and you've done great progress on your assignments. It does make such a difference to really be plugged in and held accountable on this group. Congratulations on your husband and daughter joining you! That's really major! My daughter Devin (dthomsen) and I joined together in January and are continuining on for Round 2, but I haven't been able to get my husband on board yet. I look forward to checking in with you as we travel this wonderful journey together!! .... Teresa

I Am

A wife to a super, very supportive, wonderful guy. A mother to four awesome kids, two sons and two daughters. A grandmother to a tornado of eleven grand-children. A dispatcher to a great crew of drivers. Very good at all I do, I see to it. I am, my own worst critic. One problem, not much that I've done in my life had been for me. See the photo, the one with the very round lady in the grey jacket, yes , that's me. I've been working at losing weight for a long time. I've made some great strides, but, I'm still not where I want to be physically. It's time for me now. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. When we retire, we want to be able to give back to our community, and spoil our grandchildren. That will take more energy than it does to sit behind my desk all day. I have no intention of wasting away in a rocking chair. The kids will have to hunt us down. We want to be out seeing the great Arizona mountains, doing everything you can't do till you're done working for a living, and just don't have the time yet.

My Favorite Charity

Red Cross

To me, Transformation Means

Doing whatever I want physically, without limitations, whenever I want, and being happy that at last, I can. Being stronger emotionally, and mentally as well. Not stumbling through life accidentally, without a purpose anymore. Figure out all the reasons I am here and fulfilling them.

My Goals

To one day be able to run the whole 5k and eventually the 10k. To hike Sabino Canyon, and not worry about whether I can make it. It doesn't sound like much, but for someone in the shape I was when I started, that would not have been possible.

My Intentions

Do my best. Never give up. Inspire others to do the the same, and be happy.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

I would love to inspire family to take the journey with me, maybe a few will???
