Hi Cara: I'm at work today and I found "Volunteering: some thoughts to share" document that you put out on Chris's thread at the beginning of this Holiday Challenge. I just wanted to let you know how helpful it is to me. I am thinking of stapling it to my forehead (maybe just using scotch tape would be sufficent). Anyway - As someone who volunteers and also works with other volunteers I found this very helpful. Many thanks and much love to you, Meredith

My friend! I've read all your assignments, Cara, and am STOKED beyond belief over your GROWTH, and ACCOMPLISHMENTS... WOW!! WHOO-HOOOOO!!! Know what's really WILD?!?!? Up til a MOMENT ago, I NEVER saw the GIRL in your avatar... to me, it looked like a monkey skeleton, with the girl's hair as the empty eye... And, THAT is about how much change I see in you... a completely different, more upbeat, more confident, more courageous CARA!!! With much pride in you! Sherry

To me, Transformation Means

Transformation is finally recognizing your authentic self - always there, waiting for the moment to step forward.

My Goals

By January 10, 2010, I will be able to say:

I have made a sustainable change in my eating and exercise.

I am a consistent role model for my fellow apprentices and transformers.

I have a vision for my health coaching practice.

I have added several postings to my personal blog.

I visualize daily.

I completed the Denver half-marathon on 10/18.

I weigh 145 lbs and have 23% body fat.

I am at a healthy weight per the BMI chart.

I wear a size 10.

My Intentions

To be authentic: I am aligned with a higher consciousness that rises above insecurity. I have a fearless but humble confidence. I am conscious and honest in all interactions.

To surrender control: I make practical plans but allow for new possibilities. I relax, knowing that the weight of the world is not on my shoulders. I daydream, having faith that seemingly impossible things can come true.
