Assignment #4 - 7-13-09

I am so done with starting things and not finishing them. I want to believe in myself and believe that I'm CAPABLE of following through with things. It frustrates me that I am all gung ho about something then I fade away and lose interest. I AM passionate about transformation and living a healthier ...

I Am

Hi, I'm Roxy! I am 42, married and have two boys 14 & 17. I started working out again after 2 years off and I feel so much better. I don't know when it stops (the exercising) but I will not stop this time. I am going to do this challenge from beginning to end. I have TRIED it before, but this time there will be no excuses. I am going to finish this challenge and be so much stronger for it. I am READY..........scared, anxious, nervous, worried but very READY! I care about so many people in my life. My husband Brad is the worlds nicest, MOST PATIENT guy and I couldn't imagine my life without him. My boys, Dalton 14 and Tucker 17 are my two best buddies and they bring me so much happiness and joy!

My Favorite Charity

Breast Cancer and Preventing Animal Cruelty

To me, Transformation Means

4/09 Body, mind and spirit............long term. I'm not totally sure now what it exactly means to me, but I will soon and I will add more when I have my moment of realization. 5/09 **My moment of realization is NOW 4 weeks later!! I am realizing more and more that transformation is MUCH, MUCH more than any outer shell changes. It is a change within that offers self confidence, a deep sense of peace and loving others unconditionally. It is not being judgmental because others are different and being helpful and loving to ALL people. It is taking time to take care of yourself as well as nuturing others in the process. It is necessary to be a healthy, functioning and happy human being for the rest of our days on this earth. It is also learning more about our relationship with God and how we are ALL connected. This is my assignment #4 here and now....to BECOME who I am meant to be and realize my full potential and gain a sense of peace within and to spread that message to others. This is not something that comes easy, it is a daily process that I will need to remind myself over and over, but with time it will become easier..

My Goals

My goals are to lose 20 pounds of fat and to feel comfortable in my own skin again. I am ready to make this a PERMANENT part of my life. There will be no more yo-yo-ing. That is so unhealthy and I finally realize that now. I want the self confidence I had when I was working out hard a few years ago and the comfort I felt with my body. I love the energy that exercise and eating right gives me. I also love the feeling of a strong, muscular body. It makes me feel like I can conquer anything when I'm strong, healthy and energetic.

MORE GOALS for me....I WILL become more organized and structured in my daily life. I'm finding I'm becoming a bit more scattered and not feeling like I'm keeping up with things that are important to me. I guess adding something else to my already busy schedule will take time to adjust to so I will do just that and try not to sweat the small stuff.

My Intentions

My intentions are to start and finish this challenge strong and continue on and on. I'm so tired of starting and stopping exercising, eating healthy, etc....I'm FINALLY realizing this is not temporary stuff, it's life stuff and I am ONLY 42! I have many more years to live and feel happy and healthy. I look at my mom who used to be so active and now she can barely get up and move around freely. She has been losing weight, but I do not see a healthy 69 year old and I do not want to end up that way.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

Anyone and everyone.....I want to do and finish this challenge to show that I can finish it and see the results I know I can achieve. I want my boys to be proud of their mom and realize that a healthy lifestyle is the way to be. They are both so active in all sports and they both lift weights regularly so hopefully this will inspire all of us to continue that lifestyle.
