Hello, Tara! Ya sou!!!!! (=hello in greek) I'm doing just fine in terms of having fun and all, but when it comes to the actual transformation challenge, I'm not at all disciplined. I'm careful with what I eat and lost 1,5 kilo, I'm beginning with "Curves" this coming Monday, but that's all... The weather is superb here and I'm looking forward for the weekend: I'll set off for another greek island close to Athens (Kythnos-my first time there), and my boyfriend is going to swim (me no-no-no) and I'm gonna play racketball with him on the beach!!!!!!!!! So, I guess I'll be moving quite a lot. What's new on your cholesterol?

Good to hear from you, Tara. Wonderful you could share in the "energy" and do so well as you met the challenge. I'm slow getting on board again -- fighting a cold just now, too.

I Am

I am an American Irish girl who grew up in Northwestern Montana, and have spent my adult life living in Southern California. My "career" was in the motion picture industry but I am currently a student at Cal State University Fullerton working on a double major in RTVF and American Studies. I was married for twenty-one years until the best friend I have ever known was taken away from me during a battle with Melanoma cancer. I have had the opportunity to travel the globe quite extensively, and my favorite aspect of nature's incredible array of beauty has to be sandy ocean shores and palm trees. I am blessed to know a loving God who is patient and full of mercy as I strive to understand my purpose, and why it all matters.

My Favorite Charity

Free Methodist World Missions USO JWCI PANCAN

To me, Transformation Means

KInd of like the story of Cinderella & her fairy godmother... one minute you're "this" and then the next, you're "that". The "that" being this incredibly different projection of the you prior. Sometime perhaps the outside change can nudge the inner being, or the inner will spark focused work on the outside ... but ultimately I guess my thought of transformation is to one day look up and realize with total joy "My goodness, I can't believe I'm me!"

My Goals

I like the tale of the 'rabbit and the turtle' from my childhood memories. I liken myself to the rabbit, and as a result I have accomplished some wonderful things in my life and yet I struggle with consistency. Over time this inconsistency has led to discouragement, especially when the memories of accomplishments fade. Compound this with utter disregard for my physical health and I see now that I am responsible for the state of being that I have allowed to become "me". My goal is to learn to be like the 'turtle' and I can begin this by taking a step toward physical consistency 'one day at a time' as they say. Early goals are to begin each day spending some personal time with God, continue to be a non-smoker, incorporate daily exercise into my lifestyle, and start maintaining a food journal .

My Intentions

To be honest, sincere, and complete actions that will enable me to accomplish realistic goals. When I stumble, to press on... and remember him, remember his PURE contribution to the song of life.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

It is so true, that saying that 'you cannot give away what you don't have'. So as selfish as if probably sounds, I'd like to inspire myself. If I can begin to honestly believe in myself then I have to believe that those around me will be inspired as well.
