Day 16 - Why Do It
Today is day 16 and for the first time, I felt just a twinge of burnout. I really didn't feel like getting out of bed this morning at 6:00 am...I didn't feel like going through the effort of making my breakfst and packing my lunch. I just wanted to roll over, go back to sleep, and buy a Sausauge Bisquit on the way to the office.
But I'm committed, so I supressed that feeling, hit the gym...and while it wasn't the best workout I ever had, I did get through it and hit some high points. I also ate according to plan.
The point is, some days we're going to feel excited and pumped about this journey and some days its going to take great effort to stay on track. When we have the kind of morning I had, I guess that's when you have to know that you are COMMITTED to this process. This is a permanent change. Personally, I'm no longer bargaining with myself...I'm going to do this. I'm going to be healthy and lose the weight. There is no turning back. If the journey is fun, that's great. If the journey is drudgery, that's okay too...because either way, I'm going to stick to my plan and achieve my goals.
I hope tommorow is better.
I hope you are having a lot of success on your journey.
God Bless

You have the right attitude- tommorrow is another day.
