Day 36 - Being Abnormal
As a Financial Planner, I have the fortune of getting deep inside people's heads. I have to in order to learn what makes them tick...so I can make appropriate financial recomendations for them. I also learn A LOT about the family dynamics of each of my clients.
One thing I can assure you, there is no such thing as a "normal" family. EVERYBODY has weird stuff happening inside their families...and the more normal they look from the outside, often the weirder they are once you get inside.
My point for telling you all of this is I don't think you or I should get intimidated by anyone. NEver look at another person and wich you had their life...I promise you there are strange things happening in everyone's life...you're not the only one!!
For many of us, one of our biggest problems is that we're just to damned fat. Trouble with being fat is it's not a problem you can hide from people (like gambling, drunkeness, abuse, perversion, and being flat-ass broke). Nope. When people see us...they know we;re fat.
Two things: First of all, unlike a lot of other problems people have, we can do something about beign fat...and if you're reading this, chances are pretty good you are doing something to get yourself in better shpae. Second point, in the big picture, being fat is an awful thing, but it is by noi means the worst thing that happens.
Be thankful for who you are and for the relative small amount of problems in your life. And climb down off your own back...you are a probably a very good person...at least you have a good heart.
I hope you're having a great day!
God Bless!

Never judge your insides by other peoples outsides :-)
Good insight! So beit, I am fat guy working on becomeing a thin, healthy happy Guy! As far as families go, someone has to be the FUN in Disfunctional. LOL!
