Avoiding negativity

I know we need to clear out the negative things in our lives. Whether it be things or people or relationships, what have you. I'm really good at avoiding negative relationships with people, basically because I like positive people. You know, people who can laugh at themselves, and see the glass as h...

Ok, this 2 assignments are in the bag :) Since I'm not new to this, these 2 assignments were not hard for me. I had to re-introduce myself to the eating 6 times a day, and am doing the 4/2 workout instead of the usual 3/3. So this is a bit different, albeit enjoyable to d

Hey Tinkle! I am SO happy you are in my group. I need your support for sure and I am greatful that we are all in HHC together. Sometimes I want to give up when friends and family sabotage my nutrition plan, and I would like you to hold me accountable when you see me expressing these emotions. Please remind me of what I said about being in control of what goes in my mouth and being in control of how people make me feel. By doing this, it will help me to listen to my own words. THANK YOU SO MUCH! ~Sean Seale

Happy Tuesday :) I slice an apple with my apple slicer that cores and slices. Or you can cube them if you like the apples smaller. Put it in a bowl with spices and some sweetner (I use splenda). I use cinnamon and cloves but you can use what you like. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and microwave for I think 2 minutes. Check it to see if it's soft. After that add your cottage cheese>>1/2 cup and I also put a bit of splenda on this. You could blend the cottage cheese if you like. Sometimes I even add a few oats. Yum! ;) ~Lori

PS. :) I homeschool my 2 boys too. :) So high five! LOL

Hey Tinkle, One more thing I've noticed about cottage cheese. I think it's the Walmart brand that has a softer curd and isn't as.....obnoxious ;0) as some others. Also, if you haven't tried the protein pancakes in the EFL cookbook...you have GOT to try them. They are fantastic. Add a little sweetner and tons of cinnamon and blend all the ingredients. I love them hot or cold and with or without sugar free syrup. Have a great week. ~Lori

I Am

Crystal(A.K.A Aunt Tinkle to all my nieces and nephews LOL) I am a homeschooling mom of 2 wonderful boys 16and13, a wife of an amazing man who was truly a God send 18 years ago. I've battled my weight for a few years now, and I've gone up and down on the scale. It gets old. I want a LIFESTYLE change. I love to eat healthy and workout, but like most people....it goes on the back burner for an "easier" way of life. Sitting on the couch and having the fast food place down the street cook supper for you.
I have a son who was diagnosed 2 years ago with Ulcerative Colitis and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), so that cause is dear to me. UC is much like Crohn's disease. We're so lucky that his symptoms are under control for the most part, there are others that are not so lucky. He went undiagnosed for years and suffered everyday. I don't want other kids and parents to have to go through that.
I struggle to find a support system close to me, so T.com will have to be my surrogate support system LOL.

My Favorite Charity

CCFA (Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America)

To me, Transformation Means

I made this widget at MyFlashFetish.com.
Anyone can transform their body. It's the mind that holds us back. I have to begin an inner transformation FIRST. I have to transform the way I think, the way I act, the way I see myself, the way I carry myself. I have to transform all the negativity into positive energy :)

My Goals

I will lose 15 lbs by December 31, 2009.

I will increase my cardio, so I can walk a flight of stairs and not think I'm having a coronary.
I will drop from a 16/18 to a loose 14.
Keep my journal DAILY
Reflect on my journal to continue to progress.
I will be under 200 lbs.

My final goal is.....to quit smoking!!

My Intentions

I intend to finish the HHC '09 100%,
I intend to keep self-promises to myself,
I intend to push myself beyond what I think I can do.

I intend to work out intensly EVERY time. I will plan my meals and workouts in advance (not 10 minutes before).
I intend to find something to laugh about everyday.....no matter what!

Who I'd Like to Inspire

My kiddos! They are so important to me, and I don't want them to live a life of being overweight and all the self-doubt that comes with that. I want to show them that I can do this, and that they to can set goals and reach them. I have tried this so many times and never followed through. So by completing the HHC, they will see that if you keep going, and keep trying that eventually you will reach a goal. Sometimes you have to try more than once, but it will happen.
