Nik's Commentary for Bill Phillips

Nikolaus came home from Dallas, extremely inspired and grateful for Transformation.com.  I have rarely seen him so enthusiastic!  Among other things, he used his birthday money to buy Warren MacDonald's, "A Test of Will," as he was EXTREMELY inspired by Mr. MacDonald's story. &nb...

Saw your message about the bikini shots. Those are the suits we are all going to wear when we reach our goals! We call them our "Dream-kinis" and I'll be sporting mine in Dallas. Well, better stated, mine will fit and my after pictures will be in mine, but I will not be wearing it in Public...LOL! But my husband may get to see it a little more often =0) ((((HUGS))))) Mia

I Am

...a child of God, a follower of Christ, and saved by grace alone. My name is Kimberly, and I am blessed!

My dear husband and I have been married for 15 years, and we have been homeschooling our three precious children since March of 2001.

I am finally at peace with the idea that transformation is a lifelong process, and that the journey is the prize! I am so thankful that I am beginning to notice and appreciate progress (not perfection), in both myself and others.

I have a long way to go, and a lot to learn, but I am on my way, doing my best to make one good choice at a time. Just for today, I am trusting in God’s plan. For today, I choose gratitude, forgiveness, and health.

I am alive, and am loved by God. That’s a really good start.

My Favorite Charity

My own local church and the Make-a-Wish Foundation both give me a chance to be a "glove" for God's hands -- this gives meaning to living and giving!

To me, Transformation Means

I believe the transformation process is one of revealing the person within, whom God originally created. We all can hide behind multiple layers of physical barriers and emotional pain. While these concealments may serve a purpose for a season, when we transform, we outgrow the need for the perceived safety they provide. Many bright gems are trapped beneath the tortuous oppression of spiritual bondage or paralyzing fear. Transformation allows everything that doesn't represent God's plans for the individual to be removed, even if the process is sometimes painful, allowing the beautiful miracle within to shine forth and carry His image, in order to serve others.

My Goals

Spiritual Goals - To graciously accept the process of becoming more Christ-like, by spending consistent daily quiet times in His word and presence. Listen to Him, and follow His will.

Physical Goals - To finish the January 2010 Challenge in optimal health.

My plan is to complete three weight-resistance and three cardio workouts per week, eat six nutritionally excellent meals per day, six days a week, and to enjoy one free day per week.

During this process, I intend to decrease body fat to at least 23%, and body weight to 155 lbs.

At the end of this eighteen week challenge, I intend to review my physical condition with both my general and orthopedic physicians, and consider their counsel.

Relational Goals -To express God’s love in all my relationships. To be the change I hope to see in my world. To move forward with hope.

Leadership Goals - To actively seek opportunities to reach out to and encourage others, and help them get started (and/or continue) to make healthy changes in their lives. This includes online at Transformation.com, as well as offline, in every arena of my life.

Emotional Goals - To let go of the need to do everything “just right.” To intentionally look for progress, instead!

My Intentions

I intend to enthusiastically finish this challenge on May 9th, 2010, and to use that date as my new beginning!

The purpose for this intention is that I intend to become the best me I can be, in order to bring glory to God by helping others believe they can transform their lives, as well!

Who I'd Like to Inspire

Anyone who both desires and is ready to change their life. If I can do it, then YOU can do it, too!
