You have amazing sight and discipline for someone who is 18.  I wish I had half of your intelligence at that age.  I look forward to following your progress.

Hey Will - you seem like you have a great diet and motivation too be a great guy! Training hard and sweating as well as time with family will help you be a strong man. Ignore the people in your life that have held you back and be the best !! Bill posted a great txt with his experience with Denise ( read that !) then when you wake up tomorrow - train hard as Hell !! you only have one life !! Take Care : Mickaroo

I Am

Will Kalamaras. I live in Joliet, Illinois and my birthday is on July 27th, and I am 18 years old. I have one older brother, Alexander (21), and one older sister, Stephanie (23). My father died when I was 7 years old from a heart attack and my mother owns her own employment agency. I have a dog named Ellie who I adore. She is a ginger-colored Labrador/German Shepherd mix who we got on Valentine's Day of 2005. She is my little buddy and occasional running companion. I drive a 1996 Black Ford Probe and work in Naperville, Illinois over the summer and extended school breaks. The place I work at is called Healy, Bender, and Associates - an Architecture firm where I archive files and am treated like a king. I have completed my first year at The University of Illinois at Chicago, pursuing a career in the kinesiology.

When I was 15 years old I was heavy and unhealthy. Like many, I went through the motions not really realizing there was a problem. I was like all the other kids; I would eat the same foods and participate in the same activities. I never realized that I did all the wrong things to a much higher magnitude. I had the idea that "I am who I am, and I cannot change it," ingrained into my brain. Fortunately, I had a wake-up call in October of 2003 by a friend. My transformation was dramatic, as I dropped from 265 pounds to 185 pounds. Later, I became fascinated with heavy-weight lifting and gained quite a bit of muscle. I also struggled with over-training, which at the time, I knew nothing about. This resulted in a herniated and degenerated disc in my lower back, shoulder tendonitis, and creaky knees. I currently weigh around 200 pounds and am still transforming every day.

I live and breath change, passing my personal experience on to anyone who will listen. I ultimately decide what it is that I will do. The ability to transform my life lies in myself; my will, my power, and my determination, but I thank the people who have helped me succeed already.

I don't believe I am perfect. I don't believe perfection exists. I like to keep my focus off of perfection and on to progress. This helps me keep my sanity.

My favorite foods are chicken, tuna, salmon, sea bass, shrimp (I love sea food!), cottage cheese, egg beaters, egg whites, oatmeal, peaches, oranges, apples, sweet potatoes, steamed carrots, steamed zucchini, cucumbers, and tomatoes.

My favorite meal replacement powders, respectively, are: Bill Phillip's RIGHT Vanilla, RIGHT Chocolate, Labrada Lean Body Chocolate Peanut Butter, EAS Myoplex Chocolate.

My favorite free-day foods are: Nestle White Fudge Flipz, Lou Malnati's Buttercrust Pizza, Cheddar's Buffalo-Style Chicken Tenders, and Cinnamon Rolls.

My favorite sports team is the Chicago Cubs. I like other Chicago teams as well, but no were near as much as I like the Cubs. Mark Derosa is my favorite player on the Cubs!

I am currently going through the Strength For Life Program. I am here to motivate, be motivated, and help people to the best of my ability. I'm making every attempt to log my Strength For Life program. My journal can be viewed here.

My Favorite Charity

Prevent Cancer Foundation

To me, Transformation Means

A permanent and lasting change - One that changes you from the inside out. You must practice what you preach and be prepared to take on the hardships and responsibilities that come with a transformation.

My Goals

My current goals include:

Lose 10-15 pounds of fat
Gain lean muscle.

My Intentions

I want to change the way I look and feel, but more importantly, I want to be the happiest and healthiest I can be in my life.

I don't want to be like a large portion of America: unhealthy and unhappy. I believe that obesity and disease are evil twins. I see much of the disease and obesity in America as completely avoidable and reversible.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

Anyone and everyone. I would like to do everything I can to help you succeed.
