We watched "The Way" this week and thought of you. We sure hope you can do your pilgrimage someday. Our pilgrimage this year will be to Denver for the 1/2. It worked out because we have a family wedding near there later that day.

Hey Jim. From your last blog I was spirited away to the Camino documentary. While I am not religious, and the trail is best known for it's pilgrimage. I gotta say it looks absolutely amazing, beautiful and from the documentary it seem to bring serenity and tranquility those that walk it. Marvelous. Most assuredly a worthy destination for those that wanna connect, be it with their spirituality or with themselves. Wish I could go out on such a walk, maybe one day with little one is old enough. Best of luck on your journey and life.

Hey Jim- I wanted to stop by and see how you were doing. Its been a while since we connected last. I read your last blog and I hope your feet are doing better. I'm in the Spring Forward Challenge and this is exactly what I needed. I enjoy the challenge being 12 weeks. We may possible head out to California with the kids this summer to go to Disney, it would be neat to go up the coast toward you, possible lunch or something. I will stay in touch to let you know. love ya my friend-Spencer

Great Job working through the challenges. I keep thinking that I should have taken better advantage of youth before the aches and pains started creeping in. I have a non-transformation question for you. We got a baby dwarf rabbit for Christmas. He's the cutest little guy but he tends to nip and sometimes bite really hard. Do you know how we can train him to not do this anymore? Thanks, Christy

Jim, hey buddy I hope you and your family had a Merry Christmas. Think about you often and wanted to stop by and say hi and wish you a fantastic New Year and I am glad you are still going strong. I would expect nothing less from you :) You rock buddy!!!! Keep going strong in 2112. Hope to talk to you soon. Thanks, Brian

Merry Christmas Jim! Hope you and your loved ones are having a wonderful holiday season and that you're making progress on that injury of yours (BNE, huh?). I just recovered from a stress fracture and am signed up for my second full marathon this May. And then it's time to work towards adding some "iron" to my diet... :-) Many blessings to you heading into 2012! best, Tom

Interesting how things are different with regulations in different countries. My foot is good now. Before I even bought anything to rub on it! Hope you get the results you need as well. Just wanted to stop by and touch base personally. Haven't had much time in group or on the site of late. I do enjoy the catch up read when I get it. ~ Sonya

I Am

A 54-year-young self-employed father and husband, dedicated to my family and to continuously improving myself. Spending time with my family is like saving time in a bottle.

I'm also a 12-year perennial Body-For-Lifer. I can't even begin to count the number of challenges that I've done; each one has a different focus and goal and keeps me moving forward.

My current goal is to condition my body and mind to complete a 5-week, 500 mile backpack pilgrimage across Northern Spain in May/June 2012. It's an ancient spiritual pilgrimage call the Camino de Santiago. If you want to learn more about it, here's a great web site called the Camino Project, which is an effort to make a non-profit documentary film about the Camino de Santiago. http://www.caminodocumentary.org/. And while you're there, please consider donating to the project.

My Favorite Charity

Santa Ynez Valley YMCA, Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital Foundation, and Santa Ynez Valley Presbyterian Church.

To me, Transformation Means

Getting your head on straight!

My Goals

Right now, my energy is focused on getting my body and mind ready for my next big personal challenge, to complete the Camino de Santiago.

On June 20, 2012, on my 55th birthday, after having hiked 5 weeks and 500 miles on my own, I plan to meet up with my wife and two daughters in a small town just outside of Santiago, Spain. We will then hike the last 6 miles together to my final destination, the Cathedral of Santiago.

I honestly don't know why I want to do this. I just know that I need to do it. It is often said that you will find the answers you are looking for along the path of the Camino de Santiago, I don't even know what my question is, but I hope I find it and the answer as well.

My Intentions

To continue this wonderful journey and to inspire others to do the same. To be the change that I want to see in the world.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

All those 40-50-somthing year old guys and gals out there who's biological time clocks are ticking and they don't even hear it. WAKE UP BEFORE THE ALARM GOES OFF! It's still not too late to make a change, to be the change.

I also wish to inspire my two daughters to live the healthy childhood I never had, to show them by example that living a healthy lifestyle is not a chore but a blessing...a God-given right to be the best that we can be.

I hope you will consider joining my Mentor Group and together we can be the change (http://www.transformation.com/groups/WorkoutGuy-s-Mentor-Group/318).
