David my radiant friend! I am glad that you are part of our community. We certainly benefit and learn a lot from your wisdom and outlook on Life!! What gorgeous pictures you posted last week when you captured the incoming storm!! They were breath taking! I love it that you share about being flexible and persistent, like when Mother Nature has different plans for you, so you work around that. AWESOME! Sending you Love & Light - Yoly

Great day on the lake! You paint vivid pictures with words. I love reading them and seeing the photos you share. It lets me tap into an experience I have not had. Your rowing seems like your mediation, gratitudes and exercise all rolled into one. Have a great day!

David - Thanks for the note. It is a lot like how my counselor kept trying to get me to sit with my feelings. I did not understand how to do that for a long time but I got it and now I try to remember to do it. Thanks for the gorgeous pictures of water, sky and trees!!

Hi David! Its been 1 year of sitting out from rowing because of a fairly bad hamstring injury. It's not completely better. I'm hoping the Summer Challenge brings me closer to getting back on the lake. I have to be careful and I've had to be patient. Nice to see you again on T.com! Lee

Sweet David, what I always write and share comes from the Heart. Most of the time comes from me, but it is not from me. It is knowledge and experience that I have learned or collected from enriching communities like Transformation and AA. About calling my kids "Crickets", I think it came from my mother. That is how she describes the grandkids in the family, and I could not have come up with a better or more clever and loving word to describe them. :o) . Sending you Energized Hugs - Yoly

Thank you for the birthday greeting David!! Yes it was a great day, I chose a solo bike ride in the mountains to celebrate :) I am so inspired by how you are living your life, one day I hope to be as wise an elder as you! Cheers, Colleen

I Am

June 2010
I am enough. Ageless, and scintilla, yet here. Aren't we all?. Manifesting here human, friends call me David. Living is wearing many masks yet, I remain a spark of the ineffable

Late Jan 2012

I came here a while ago to lose weight and win a contest.. I have lost
weight and won many a contest. I’ve gained new perspective. I have
stayed to share the journey. I also know when you start it may seem dire
but that isn't really true you can transform day by day into something
you never dreamed of when you started. Over three years ago I took up
rowing at age 64. As soon as the ice is out until it again freezes I row. I row every other day more if my body permits. I row two hours each time.
Always in the predawn light ;the turning of the earth into day. The changes
in the light are always new fresh as is the air and water. I row, reflect,
meditate and gaze at it all. I hear the whispers on the wind. In moments of
personal silence I hear the whispers of the ineffable. Bill Phillips said, and I really like this quote, “ There is a world of difference between knowing what to do and actually do it”. He called that, difference, as I remember, “the abyss”. Yes, it is deep and perhaps bottomless yet it's a human experience to cross it. It is perhaps what makes us human. That willingness to set out and cross. Don’t be afraid. It is in your nature to do it. Keep to the task. Keep transforming
