Finally Fit @ 40 (Week 6 Day 6)

Well, it's the half way point on my Finally Fit @ 40 12-week challenge.  I must say the past two weeks have physically been a disappointment, but spiritually I have experienced alot of growth.  Going into week 5 (the few days prior to the cruise) my workouts and eating slacked off.  I don't really have a reason other than I put myself into this pre-cruise vacation type mentality.  Then on the cruise I enjoyed myself as far as the food and nightlife the ship had to offer and ended up gaining 5 lbs as a result.  Then I came back from the cruise and moved out of my apartment and back with my wife.  With all this upside down scheduling going on, and the added stress of moving, I never seemed to get back on track.  Now, I am!

On the spiritual side, I have a renewed sense of what all this transformation is about!  It really hit me with Bill's talk after watching the Body of Work video on the cruise.  Keying in on that moment that Jeff Siedman made the inner transformation in that he wanted to win, but he didn't want anyone else to lose.  It was at that moment I asked myself what will I have really accomplished if I meet all physical goals but I'm still a self-focused person?  Is it that I'm now more pleasant to the eye to look at, but I still treat those around me badly?  There has got to be more to it than that!

So, I head into the next 6 weeks with a sense of purpose that I am doing all this to inspire others to greatness, to "Be the Change"!  That the whole transformation process is not about weight loss, and it's not about me.  It's about others!  It's about setting the example!
