Anita's 2009 T2-Assignment 12B

The Awesome Power of Words So another reality “check” for me on what I am thinking at a given moment. Some positive phrases noted were: “Excellent…feels good…that was funny…another satisfied client…that was awesome…laughing again” Some negative phrases noted were: “Why…Do it…Just do it…Why…Frustration” The positive phrases equates to the joy and happiness I felt at that moment in which it occurred. We all wish we could live in this state 24/7.  But I also noted that I didn’t focus on these phrases as much as I did with the negative ones. “Why” was written several times and it came at moments where I was questioning procedural activities and having to deal with negative clients. This was followed by “Do it” or “Just do it” and these phrases lead to “Frustration”.  So there you have it…a snowball affect of negative words; one leads to another. This assignment has helped me realize that I some times focus on the small issues too much when there is a much bigger picture which leads to clarity. We may not always no the entire circumstances surrounding negative thoughts but perhaps in these situations I could take a moment and think “What can I do to make it better?”

I like to make it simple. It's been working for me. I GET TO try and I am progressing. Positive thoughts are the best. Love and hugs, Mim I guess it is all in the way you look at things.
