Healthy Holiday Challenge
Dear Friend,
How would you like to make this upcoming holiday season your best and brightest, healthiest and happiest, ever?
If that sounds good, please read on, and listen carefully because I believe we can work together to make this vision a reality in each of our lives over the next couple of months.
Here's the deal: I'm issuing a Healthy Holidays Challenge to all Members of the Transformation Community. And what I'm asking you to do is not the easiest thing in the world to do (that's why I'm calling it a Challenge). I'm asking you to completely transform what so many of us have done so often in the past which is let up on our healthy eating, exercise, and transformation work during the holidays, instead, I'm challenging you to make November and December the healthiest, happiest months of the entire year.
How can we make this transformation? Fortunately, it's really not that complicated. In fact, if we focus on the key issues, it becomes almost simple (notice I said simple not easy).
For starters, we need to clarify two things:
1) A specific, objectively measurable, challenging yet realistic GOAL.
2) A deeply felt and inspiring PURPOSE.
For example, my physical health goal that I'm aiming to achieve on or before 12/31/09 is to be 8 lbs. lighter and be able to run six miles in an hour or less. Achieving this result would keep me right on track for my longer term goal which is to run the Dallas Half-Marathon in two hours and fifteen minutes; and beyond that, run the full marathon in Denver next year in less than four and a half hours.
My purpose for targeting this goal is that it would be consistent with my intention of making 'Running to Grant a Child's Wish' a national program next year. In order to make that happen, I'm going to need to do a lot of work to make my body lighter and better built for endurance running, rather than power lifting which is kind of what I've been enjoying the last couple of years. If I can help bring the 'Running to Grant a Child's Wish' program to a national stage, based on what we achieved in Denver where we raised $211,612 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, it may turn out to grant literally hundreds of children's wishes each year. So that's my purpose.
What's your goal? And what's your purpose? Maybe, like me, you're looking to become a little lighter and increase your energy and endurance. Or maybe you'd like to get through this holiday season without giving in to an unhealthy habit like drinking, smoking, sugar binges, etc. I'm sure if you ask those questions and reflect upon it for a bit, your heart will give you very meaningful and even powerful answers. Write those answers down and share them with others on your profile page, along with a before photo and your starting weight or bodyfat percentage (you can utilize your blog and photo section). When you do, you'll be allowing others to help support and encourage you in the most effective way.
Once you have your goal and purpose we need a plan. And the foundation of that plan, especially during this upcoming holiday season, has got to be based on these four pillars:
1) Participation in an online Transformation Support Group.
2) Helping others without any expectation of personal gain.
3) Consistent and challenging exercise.
4) Conscious, careful, healthy and balanced eating.
As I discussed in Denver during a presentation about the 'Science of Transformation' all four of these pillars support our health and happiness in important ways. And each helps us steer clear of two of our most unwanted and negative holiday side effects: weight gain and depression. In fact, the National Institute of Health reports that the rates of depression and weight gain reach their highest and most dangerous points during November and December of each year. Remember, our mission is to transform that trend, starting with ourselves.
Starting right now, what I'm asking the leaders in our community to help with is setting up Healthy Holiday Challenge Online-Support Groups. And I'm asking everybody to get involved in a group because I'm going to ask you to share your goals and purpose with the group and also check in at least twice a week to report on how you're doing with your exercise and healthy eating.
I also want you to check in with your group and share how you're feeling twice a week. And this is so important during the holidays because far too often we end up holding in our thoughts and emotions and stress – this becomes an 'internal heaviness' and can really weigh us down. Simply sharing how you're doing, openly and honestly, with your unconditional friends in your support group immediately gives you positive energy in return. And the more you share, the more it helps others in your group as we can see and feel that we're not alone with our struggles and, in fact, we're all so much more similar than we are different.
And the other exercise I would really like to see you participate in at least twice a week with your support group is to write down a list of at least five things you are most grateful for in your life at that very moment. This is a such a very important exercise because when we pause, take a deep breath, and bring to mind the beautiful blessings that are already in our lives right here and now, it literally transforms our energy so that it's calmer, more blissful, and healthier. This is a tremendous anecdote to holiday stress and the often times chaotic or racing thoughts that come with it. Gratitude is also really the spirit of the season when you get right down to it.
Another important aspect of optimizing our health and happiness during the holidays is to very deliberately involve ourselves in things of an altruistic nature. The great spiritual traditions of the ages, and even the modern health sciences, reveal that there's something quite miraculous about helping others through the goodness of our heart, and doing so with no strings attached – no expectation of personal gain. It kind of seems contradictory that I'd even be mentioning this considering that this is billed as the 'giving' time of year. But you know what, it doesn't always feel that way. Oftentimes people don't feel that they're giving gifts for the holidays at all but rather running around buying things for others that they may or may not want or need, essentially out of obligation or even guilt. I want to talk with you some more about this issue during our weekly radio show discussions and in upcoming blogs.
There are a lot of wonderful charities and organizations that help people out at this time of year, one of which is a rescue mission which helps provide warm coats for individuals and families in cities like Chicago and Denver who are unable at this time to purchase a winter coat for themselves. Last year some Transformation Community Members who'd lost a lot of weight donated some of the coats that didn't fit them anymore and we were able to help some less fortunate people to stay warm. Our gifts were so greatly appreciated it helped me realize how important this selfless act of giving can be. And so this year we are going to have a 'coat drive' and very likely make a donation 10 times what we did last year. I look forward to sharing more information about that with you in the coming weeks. The Universal Law of Reciprocation is really in full effect when we participate in programs like these – what we gain from giving is tremendous, it's beyond the material world and is, as so many of you know, a guaranteed spiritual experience which makes our lives brighter in every way.
The next aspect of the Healthy Holiday Challenge is exercise. That almost sounds funny to even say because having worked in the health and fitness industry for the past 22 years, I know flat out that the vast majority of people simply stop going to the gym or getting in their regular exercise in November and December. And most people rationalize it by vowing to get back on track New Year's Day. But you know the story… most people never really do fulfill their resolution to get back on track, and for those who do, they often have to work for several months just to lose the fat that they gained during the holidays. Imagine continuing your transformation and setting new goals on New Year's Day and building on the momentum and positive results that you're going to achieve over the next couple of months. Then, you'll truly be at a point where you can take your transformation to the next level of health, happiness and personal growth!
So here's what I want in terms of exercise: 32 workouts, at the minimum. That means you're going to be working out more days than not. Myself, I'm going to be doing a standard Body-for-LIFE like weight training workout twice a week, and I'm going to be doing a couple, one hour endurance training workouts (remember I'm training for several marathon runs next year so I've adjusted my exercise routine). The key is that through these holidays, we've got to keep making time for exercise and we also need to make sure we don't slack off and just go through the motions when we do get in our workouts. I've seen this happen far too often at this time of year and the results are never good. Keep in mind, exercise is not only going to help us keep our bodies healthy but it's also been proven that as few as three 30-minute exercise sessions a week can be as effective as the most popularly prescribed anti-depressants. And exercise doesn't have prescription drug side effects, of course. Believe me on this one folks, if you get in 32 workouts during the holidays, (and that's a very realistic amount) you are going to be healthier and happier no matter what. You'll be a more positive, energetic person to be around and that's a wonderful gift to share with your family and friends.
The next element of our Challenge is to eat healthy throughout November and December. And by healthy you know what I mean: eating 5-6 protein and carbohydrate balanced, portion controlled, quality meals each day; drinking at least 10 glasses of water; and keeping the calorie intake down while getting the nutrient intake up. As I describe in Eating for Life, these meals don't have to be bland and boring; in fact, they can be delicious and nutritious! Planning and preparation is so important when it comes to our nutrition, and we need to be very conscious and careful at this time of year especially because there will be a lot of fun foods around and they can be very tempting. I fully intend on enjoying some of those treats as well as hearty portions of everything at Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and I encourage you to do the same. In fact, what I'm asking is that you actually take 10 free days during the next two months and I want you to thoroughly enjoy those. And the other 51 days… I'm asking you to eat clean, lean, smart and with discipline. Remember it's what we do most of the time, not some of the time, with nutrition that makes or breaks us.
So that's the game plan. If you follow these four action steps you can absolutely, positively enjoy a wonderfully healthy and happy holiday season. It's a pretty simple plan, but trust me, I know it's not going to always be easy. And so to help keep your focus and motivation high, I'm offering what I feel is a pretty fun and exciting incentive…
Ten of the people who make an inspiring change in their physical health and who also reach out and make an inspiring difference in the lives of others during the Healthy Holiday Challenge will get an all-expenses paid free trip for two to our upcoming Transformation Event in Dallas, March 11-14, 2010. You and a guest will get a full VIP pass to all the seminars, workshops and celebrations. Your airfare, room, and event tickets will all be paid for. Fair enough?
And, as a top reward to the person who makes the most outstanding transformation during this Challenge, Right Cares will be providing a cash prize of... $10,000!!
So here's how to officially enter the Health Holiday Challenge: fill out the following sign-up form and submit it right away. From there I'll make sure you're on the list to receive each of my emails about the Challenge and also I'll be sending you weekly Transformation Tips and Techniques to help you get better results faster and have fun with the whole process!
Yes, I'm in! Sign me up for the Healthy Holiday Challenge!
Thank you in advance for your participation and I wish you – in fact I challenge you – to have a healthy and happy holiday season! =)
Sincerely,
Bill
P.S. Join me this Thursday evening at 7:00 PM PT (10:00 ET) for a special Transformation Talk Radio show where we'll be discussing more details about the Healthy Holiday Challenge!

Thanks, Bill! You helped me get organized to take action on all fronts RIGHT NOW not at some future time. And the smaller individual group accountability and follow-up is great! Thank you so much. Have a joyous holiday season.
I caught on to this too late for the challenge contest, but I'm joining in on the concept anyway. Rather than have a New Year's Eve of future resolutions, I want to have a reflection of NEEDED success and well being. I'm all in.
I can't wait to experience a healthy, energized holiday (for a change!!). Awesome.
This will be my 2nd skinny holiday. Exercise isn't about time, it's about commitment. If you want to stay healthy, you have to exercise. I too want similar goals to you Bill, but I'm going to post them on my post. kennie
Bill, I wanted to double back and say thanks again!! I have had a great week, made new friends and experienced new personal victories...The HHC was just what I needed =) THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! BTW...I want to wish YOU your very best Holiday season EVER!!!! ~Tammy
Bill, I have signed up and I am psyched to be part of the transformation community. The last time I did a transformation challenge was your !st challenge in 1997 with EAS. That time my goal was to win the Lamborghinni. I did not win but I lowered my body fat% from 23% to 10%, I have been a lost soul after losing my dad to a heart attack and Mom to breast cancer. Your message has touched and inspired me to change my ways. I stead of feeling sorry for myself I will be happy and healthy and focus on people that need my support. Their are soi many ways to help. Thanks Again Bill B
Thanks for continually motivating us!
Hi Bill, I signed up this past week. Thanks for giving us this extra push. I dropped 22 pounds in this last Challenge that just ended on Nov.1, 2009. I hope to continue this over the Holiday Season. All the best to you. InShapeDad
looking forward to having an energizing holiday season...
Okay, I signed up. This challenge has good purpose and I am glad to be able to participate. God Bless Always, Brian
thanks alot Bill Bless u
I'm scared to death to do this -- that's why I need it more than anything! I'm new to this site and just trying to figure out how it all works! Excited to connect with many of you!
I'm in - even though I know I'm late getting signed up - I NEED to do this! Good luck everyone! Mel
I am in! I have a goal for the end of year and this is the perfect way to help me reach it
Can I still get in on this challenge?
I really appreciate this challenge! It's the right call to action at the right time. I'm in.
Wow, I cant think of a gift greater, Than one that encourages others to serve there greater purpos. you can count me in!! After watching the videos and hearing first hand, how amazing the energy and unconditional love is at one of these events? I don't want to miss out on another one!!
Thank you Bill! For giving us a happy positive path to follow through the pitfalls of holiday food everywhere . For refocusing us on the important parts of the season - gratitude. For starting the new me of 2010. Bea
Very nice. Timing is everything. I have had a plan forever. All about fitness and community. so this challange will give me the support and opportunity to move from talking to doing. Making a difference while creating a life long career of fitness and community. Ripples make waves.
What a great idea......this came at just the right time. I just finished the last Challenge and needed a little boost to keep me going. Thanks for putting the "wind back in my sails" Amanda
This is such a brilliant idea. So many people wait until Jan 1st to start something like a challenge but this year I am starting and finishing this challenge and my intention is to be one of the ten individuals to win the prize of a lifetime. This is so exciting!!! Good luck everyone I know that we all can achieve the bodies we want.
Bill, this is going to be the healthiest, brightest, happiest holiday season for me, you and hundreds maybe even thousands of others. I can feel it!
I think this came at the perfect time & is just what can help me give my goals a kick in the rump. What better gift can I give myself or my kids for the holidays...a happier, healthier me.
I think the most difficult part of all of this 4 me is the blog...so I'm starting now!! I don't like using the computer to 'talk' to people...it's not my style...but I'm willing to try if this is going to help me in my quest to overcome my 'unwillingness' to connect this way and in my 'need' for others who are struggling with a new process (transformation). I'm usually on the giving side; this will be a new experience for me to also receive. I need to make the time to do this part of my own personal challenge. This is definitely NOT comfortable!
Im in! Merry Christmas to me!!!!
Thank you Bill!
This is the motivation I needed. Thanks bill!!!!
I am in. I am tired of making excuses, this makes so much sense and is simple. I have so much many reasons for change... My life, my children, my wife. This challenge is what I need.
I'm in, this is what I need to get going again.
I appreciate the challenge. I am going to try hard to stay with it. I've put on weight since my mom passed away last year and really need to get back into to shape. Sometimes it feels like I can't get out of my plateau but I'm going to definitely give this a try. Thanks for your inspiration and encouragement. Aloha!
Thanks Bill for your Consistency and your Steadfast Determination to create a Healthier America. I'm looking forward to this challenge to get me back on track to a physically and mentally healthier me. What a great way to prepare for the Best 2010 year for anyone to have. Scott
Wow! This is perfect timing! Just yesterday I was telling a friend how I find it easy to exercise consistently as long as I don't stop. It's been about 3 weeks since my last workout so I decided this morning to log into the Transformation site for motivation and here is the perfect challenge to kickstart everything all over again! I am all in for this challenge! Thanks everyone!
I thought last nite when I signed up on line that it was to sign up for the challenge too, but now it is official...yea!!! today is day1 for me and as of lastnite all the support I received in a very short amount of time really said something to me..like omg these people really will be there for me if I need them..that is such an awesome feeling :-) this feels rite!
I am excited to be joining in with all of you. Looking forward to keeping the momentum high through this holiday season.
Can you participate in this and have participated in the challenge?
I haven't completed a challenge in a few years, so this is the one! Thanks Bill! Now, where and how do I do my measurements to have an accurate before and after. is there a form to fill out or photos to take at my max plumpness?
What a great catalyst. Woke up this morning feeling pretty low- this has given me the boost I needed!
I have been absent from this website for quite some time (since last spring prior to my surgery). I saw the info on your Nov-Dec challenge and want to take part in this event. So with some trepidation (of biting off more than I can chew) and lots of anticipation . . . I will begin in the morning. Thanks Bill, Doreen
Hi Bill: I dread the Holidays every year as I always gain 7 to 12 pounds - YUCK! This challenge is nice in that it will keep me focussed on accomplishing the opposite - loosing weight and getting fitter! THANKS. It will be nice to start the New Year thinnner this time around!!
Hi, What an awesome Christmas gift to myself - Be in better shape on the inside and on the outside! I am going to be smiling the whole season anticipating my holiday transformation. Blessings to all...

is thankful you keep us positively motivated and excited about making healthy changes. This'll surely help everyone, even myself, stay on our p's & q's...dotting our i's and crossing our t's, in staying in great shape, as well as mentally and spiritually. I am new here and not sure what I am doing but I want to make holiday time great and the best ever! Cheryl
I know it is the 11th hour, Bill, but I am in. I am going to do the HHC. Sharon
I'm gonna do it! Good Luck to all!
Thanks Bill for the reminder. Some of us need more help than others; I need more. This is a grreat community to be part of. God bless you. Doria
I have been in a fitness challenge the past 10 weeks, eating clean, lifting wieghts, everything the way Bill teaches and have done great! I've lost over 7% body fat, and 17 pounds, and can now fit into a size 4/6, and I am 5'9" tall, so I am happy with the results! I have been concerned about when it ends, what can keep me motivated to continue through the holidays! I think this is a great tool, and will be a real blessing in keeping me on track. I love the simple layout of how many workouts, and even 10 free days! Thank you so much for the help and inspiration!
OK Bill, I'm all in. I pressed the button to sign up now I have to be the man to make good my word. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this community. -Doug
I am so excited about being a part of this challenge! It will be rewarding to eat healthy and exercise throughout the Holiday Season. I know that it will make the season so much more special.
Bill, I appreciate all that you do for all of us in the Transformation community. I hope this holiday season blesses you abundantly with the gift of much love and joy! John
I am so excited to know that we are all in this together....to inspire and encourage one another! It helps me to know that there are so many other men and women out there who are also striving to eat clean and work out hard through the holiday season. Also makes it easier to do it with a smile, knowing we have opportunities every day to lead people to a healthier way of living. Thank you Bill for being our fearless leader...you are loved!
Making sure I am in!!!!!!!
Thank you Bill! I have been stuck and this is the kick in the butt that I desperately need! Let the holidays begin!
Love, love, love taking this journey with so many others. Great way to move towards and through the holidays.
HELP!! I've tried everything I know and nothing seems to be working for me. I'm a disciplined person and even that seems to be failing me ...and I'm losing hope and I'm very discouraged. ~~Karen
I appreciate this wonderful opportunity. I am in - Frank E. Meana
I just took up tennis and joined a team that starts in January. To help get into shape I thought I try and do a 5k. When I got Bill’s email tonight I got excited. I am out of shape at 220 lbs and only 5’5’’ so I really need this. Thanks Bill U-DA-MAN
Great timing--I missed the Transformation Challenge deadline so this is a great opportunity to join a challenge during the most difficult time of the year! Thank you for making this available.
I can't lose. Even if I don't win the prize, I will start the year off in the best shape I can be from being energized and careful these next two months. Thanks for the invite.
I AM IN! ~Gina :)
I'm really looking forward to this! Thanks for giving me a motivator through the always food filled holiday season!
This is just the right time for me to start. I am going to lose 60 lbs by May, thats 6 months. I know if we stick together we'll kick butt. I just need to chill out on the Dr.Pepper and Starbucks.
OK. I feel inspired . This challenge is just what I needed to jump start my transformation. I have been down and frustrated with my lack of progress and determination lately. Thanks for bringing me back. I need and appreciate the inspiration...Im working on my goals...cant wait!
It will be good to have a focus throughout the holidays, instead of waiting until the New Year to make new goals.
THANKS BILL FOR GIVING FOR GIVING US THE CATALYST TO GET US THROUGH THIS MOST CHALLENGING TIME OF THE SEASON! AND A BIG PLUS THAT WE HAVE ALL OUR FRIENDS IN THE TRANSFORMATION COMMUNITY TO HELP US FOR SUPPORT! IT'S TIME TO REDEDICATE!!!!!!!!!! AND TO GIVE BACK BY INSPIRING OTHERS THAT NO MATTER WHAT AGE YOU ARE,YOU CAN BE HAPPIER IF YOU JUST TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR HEALTH BECAUSE WHEN IT IS ALL SAID AND DONE,IT TRULY IS YOUR WEALTH!!!!! THIS CHALLENGE ALSO HAS GIVEN ME THE CONFIDENCE THAT AT THE AWESOME AGE OF 50, YOU CAN STILL SUCCEED AND BE AN INSPIRATION TO THOSE WHO MAY BE THINKING THEY ARE INHIBITED BECAUSE OF ADVANCED YEARS! MY JOY IS YOURS!
Bill, This is great idea. I need a challenge in my life right now. I am going to eat right, go to the gym 6 days a week and to start the healthy way to live. This will be my holiday gift to myself. Nice way to start out the new year!!

I can't think of a better place to be to take on this Holiday Challenge! " This is usually the time of the year where I cave but who can go wrong with a support system like this?! I DO knowif I keep working at this & want it badly enough I WILL have it" It's called perseverance. Good luck to everyone and Happy Holidays!
Andrea wants be the best. Sign her up
Yes Trenton is in. He wants to win.
Sounds real good - the hardest part for me is the meal planning / prep - almost harder than the exercise because a lot of thought and planning is required. If I can get this down, I believe I will be successful. Any suggestions on how to build a sustainable meal plan and stick with it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Jay
I can't wait to finish this challenge.
I'm in--thank you,Bill--the timing is a God-send! Sandy
I'm ready this time! I'm tired of that holiday weight gain. Thanks Bill. Hope to see you in Dallas!
Awesome! This is so inspiring with a purpose! I can't wait! I realize that everything starts with me. If I have a positive outlook I can persevere!
I'm Back - :) :) :) :) This year has been a whirl wind and although I haven't gained any weight on the scale - my body firmness and overall body shape has seen a decline :( :( :( And I want to make these Holidays ones I can really remember. Gonna go take my pictures to really see the damage I have done this year and cannot wait to see the results I can achieve by year end! Thanks Bill for putting this out there to help boost my morale and jump start my Holiday Season ! ! ! I look forward to helping everyone else succeed in their goals as well ! ! ! This is gonna be the Best Holidays Ever! God Bless ~ ~ ~ Debbie
I'm in!
Excellent. This will be perfect for me. I'll be doing a lot of traveling over both of the hoidays. This will help me be strong especially with the family pressure to be lazy and overeat during the holidays. Nothing like a challenge to keep me in line.
I´m in and going to make it happen
BILL!!! Good friend always bring out the best in you and you are one of my best!!!!! Thank you so much for bringing this challenge to my life and always finding new and creative ways of bringing out the best in me I love you and appreciate you, your friend Karla Moses
Sounds good, I'm in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bill, and the rest of the community, I AM HERE. I am present. I will not only compete, but will complete this 8 week challenge.
Having this Healthy Holiday Fitness challenge helps to keep the excitement and spark going about making healthy changes and inspiring others. Happy holidays and thanks again :) Midnight Cardio Homeboy
I did a challenge five years ago and got in the best shape of my life. I was already sinking back into the mire again, however, when I got pregnant. While I'm not all the way back to where I began, I've been getting closer and closer, and recently have been thinking I really need to get back into the good habits. Unfortunately I have some other challenges now. Neck problems for one. Exercising without hurting myself is not as easy as it used to be.
Ack! Thanks for that reminder that I actually needed to SIGN UP! I just was "in it," or so I thought! LOL! So, I just "officially" signed up. Whew!!! That was a close one! ;) Kimberly
Bill- Eight weeks is a great time frame to focus on living better and healthier. I will come out of the holidays looking tight and fit, like never before. It will help me jumpstart the new year as well. There is no better way to say Happy New Year or should it be Heathy New Year.
I'm in...I read your book and did the challenge in 2002. best shape I was ever in and very proud of myself.....BUT went back to my old ways and I'm the heaviest I've ever been. My favorite quote is "Timing is Everything". My inbox sending me your way again, proves it!!!! Thanks in advance
I am in!
I'm in...thanks Bill.
I hit a bump in the road and fell of the wagon during the last challenge. My excuse this time was selling our house and traveling the past few months. I really cannot use that as an excuse because there will always be bumps in the road and I need to overcome them and press on.... I am a little scared and REALLY embarrassed to say it seems to be an on going pattern for me as I have tried doing this challenge several times over the years and keep falling off the wagon. Thank you for the motiviation! I am totally in! 2010 will be a brand new beginning for me.
I am IN! I have been working on this now for a while. A NEW ME for the NEW YEAR!
I want this I AM IN!!
Signed up for the challenge - didn't see a form or anything - so here's me on record. LOL. I am IN.
Yesterday I was journaling and pondering what stands in the way of my achieving my dreams. The obvious answer was Me. Today I logged onto this site for the first time in months and saw the holiday challenge. Perfect timing! I can give myself what I want for Christmas, a healthier more positive self. So, thanks for the challenge. As Chris Cary said "Game on"!
I'm in, pics uploaded, goals cited. Game ON!
I'm in!! I will Start it and Complete it this time. No Excuses.
Here we go Team!
I am just on my second week of my first 12 week challenge. I am going to focus on getting that completed and completed strong before I make any changes to my routine. Good Luck to everyone else.
What better way to honor the spirit of Christmas than to challenge ourselves to BE our best throughout this celebratory season. I've got some great goals up my sleeve, but first I've must go outside and enjoy this beautiful day! Thanks for the inspiration:)
Bill - Thanks for the STOP sign. I have just completed my first transformation and was wondering when to begin T2. Since the holidays were coming up I thought I'd just wait until January - which gave me "permission" to relax my standards of focused exercise and healthy eating. It would have been a disaster. So instead of backwards, it's ever onward. You're the best and thanks for reading my mind and saving me from myself. Seasons Greetings! For sure!! Dan
Bill, Count me in for this Healthy Holiday Challenge! Thank you so much for all of the wonderful ways you have inspired me! God bless you! John
God Graciously Bless You, dear Bill...Thank You so very much for all that you do,!!!!! Super Mega Virtual StarJumps of Happy Healthy Holiday PEACE and JOY! With loving gratitude, Diane
Bill, What can I say except thank-you. I have been struggling but trying to keep it together. This challenge is going to be completed. I am going to take one day at a time. I am doing this for me. In the process I am hoping to encourage others along the way and together we shall succeed. What is so great about transformation is the way that everyone is willing to offer encouragement to the others and make suggestions as to how they can reach their goals. This is so awesome. Thanks again for taking your time and energy to set this up, and for being available and offering encouragement to all of us. I appreciate. Mary
I am so excited for the change that is going to happen in my life. Relationships will be stronger and better because of it. Its gonna be a wild ride.
I am ALL in! This can be a challenging time of the year in so many ways. It is also a time that is full of joy and can only be enhanced by getting my self-care on track.
I really like this idea and always enjoy a challenge to aid in continual progress and improvement! I'm excited to see what things come of this!
This is just so awesome. This will give many of us the focus and motivation it takes to get threw the hoidays healthy and on the right track. I Can't wait to see the New Year. Thank you Gary

Hi Bill, What a great time to get back on board, get my confidence back what a great reason to do something the festive reason right, instead of a great reason to do something wrong! It's been a while although I am fired up and I welcome all new comers as friends on here, lets Rock&Roll everyone :-) The G-Train Mark G P.s Thank you Bill :-) God Bless ya.
Bill, First, let me thank you for everything that you do. I have been a fan of your work since the Muscle Media days, and am just blown away by all of the wonderful things you have done through both Body for Life and Transformation. As for me, I have just completely let myself go and have reached a point where my life is SO out of balance that I am no longer thriving, but am merely surviving. I feel like a prisoner trapped inside my own body; there is a new person just fighting to get out. I have attempted to do BFL and Transformation several times, but have not yet succeeded. I always do REALLY good for 2 or 3 weeks, then just fall off the wagon. I don\'t know why. That\'s one of the reasons I need to do this. I need to beat whatever it is that keeps holding me back. There are so many things in life that I want to do, be, and experience...but I know that I can\'t do those things if I can\'t even master my own "body." I have to get my mind and my spirit in the right place. I\'m telling you all of these things because I know that it will help motivate me to really make a change this time...to stick with it...to change for good. You are one of my heroes, and I don\'t want to let down a hero. I\'m going to do this, and I want to let you know that I\'ll see you in Dallas. Thank you again for everything you\'ve done and continue to do. The world needs more leaders like you! Have a happy and safe holiday season! JGuined
I am so in and looking forward to a wonderful holiday season. BJ
awesome! count me in....It will be my first step in actually participating since wondering around this group watching from afar....I look forward to being involved and forward to greeting the New Year already at my goal!
Bill - Shootz I'm in it's time. I gonna go fo broke. Wailani......:)
Thanks Bill. I was planning on following the BFL lifestyle over the holidays, but now with the added support and having others to share with I know that it will be a lot easier to be successful. InJoy, Dianne
Perfect timing!! Thanks Bill. this is just what I needed!! -Mandy
Wow! This just what I need. A holiday gift so early. This is my motivation in so many ways. I am in.
Look forward to enjoying the Holiday Season more than ever by staying in focus with a healthy lifestyle. Great idea, to keep everyone motivated. Thanks Bill. Kay
Hi Bill, I’m in! I think this is a wonderful idea! Sure helps to have others working towards the same thing. Thank you so much!! This will be the best holiday season ever! -Terri
Can't wait to start. Just finished my first 18 weeks today! Already have a goal to complete the Seattle 1/2 marathon, walking 11/29. So no problem fitting in my workouts.. especially on the Thanksgiving weekend! Every step is one in the right direction.. toward health! I will take it.
i will do it
Count me in! I will read through the rest of this later this weekend and plan to get involved this time! (Signed up for the last Transformation, and although I did continue eating healthy, and working out/staying fit and healthy, I didn't have time to get on the computer very often and get involved. Did continue enjoying the BTR shows though.) Thank you Bill and thank you Wonderful Community!
I'm looking forward to this challenge! The timing is great!
Count me in! Healthy Holiday Season AND a healthy LIFE!!
Hey Bill...Great time for a challenge! I just got back from an week in Orlando - took the family to Disney World and OMG are we exporting our lifestyle!!! The whole world needs this challenge, your message and this community. Thanks for being the difference maker that you are Bill!
I am joining the challenge! What a fabulous opportunity! Thank you so very much! --Maggie
Looking forward to the challenge!!!! My goal for the holliday is to lose 20 pounds and increase my endurance so that I can participate in the next marithon!!! This will be Great!!!!
I just created a HHC accountablity group, I'm ready! what an awesome idea to have this challenge, I always say oh what the heck it's the holidays and do just as you said, takes 2 months to just get back to where I was. Exercise is never a problem for me, but those holiday goodies always get in my way, I eat them just to get them out of my way, lol Not this time!!!!! Thanks Bill
Great way to stay on track for the Holidays. I'm in!!
Let's see, I started in January of this year, took progress pics in August and I'm just at a point now where I'm letting off the gas a little bit. The last thing I want is to start over again in January, so the timing for this challenge is perfect! Thanks Bill!
I am up for the challenge
You have once again outdone yourself!! What a great way to get healthy mentally, physically, and spiritually during a season of giving to others and expecting nothing in return. May hearts and lives be touched over and over during these next two months!!
yes
This is going to be a challenge as I have to be on business travel for 4 days each week for the next 5 weeks...so I'll need to watch those high-caloric, late meals and find healthier food choices. I'm ready for the challenge!
Bill, the timing couldn't be better for me. Coming up on the holiday season I started to realize that though I had seen some great success with my first round of Transformation earlier this year, it wasn't during what has always been a tough time for me in terms of eating well and staying healthy. I knew I needed to find a way to be sure I didn't slip back into old habits this holiday season, and when I read the update with this Challenge I knew I had found the way to do it. Thank you for tackling head-on a problem that so many of us have! Looking forward to a healthy, happy holiday season this year!!! - Phil
I'm so in! I'm so ready! I'm so excited!
Bill, it's as though you read my mind: I've been intending to re-focus on "behaving myself" in order to start the New Year already firmly on track, but I was having a tough time getting started. I am a Lost Lamb returning to the fold and I am really excited to be back!
Bill, it's as though you read my mind: I've been intending to re-focus on "behaving myself" in order to start the New Year already firmly on track, but I was having a tough time getting started. I am a Lost Lamb returning to the fold and I am really excited to be back!
Bill, I am in for sure... What a way to keep things going here. I will make a difference in mine as well as others lives this Holiday season and I am so anxious to get started. I Thank you for this opportunity for all of us to make this Holiday the Best one yet!!! Let's do this!!! Thank you again, Brian
Hey! I'm ready for another challege! This will keep me from back sliding during tthe hardest time of the season. I worked so hard over the last challege, I don't want to lose it! I'm not where I want to be, but I have a vision! Thanks for keeping me inspired to keep going. Love Rita
OHHHH!!! I am so excited. Cannot wait!!! It will help keep me goal driven for the holidays and know I will get to see people in Dallas since I did not get to go to Denver! Thank you Bill for allowing Christmas to come early!
No GREEN Screen! This year's Christmas season will not be reminiscent of years past. I won't see this year as a blurr or repeat of previous fattening holiday seasons. Here is to the BLUE Screen of health and creating new healthy holiday memories!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm so grateful to have this challenge to help me through these next couple of monthes. I was kind of dreading the holidays because I knew it was going to be hard to keep up my healthy lifestyle. This is exactly what I need. Thanks again! :D
I thank you Bill for always knowing just what I (we) need to keep us moving forward. I really appreciate you! Dallas here I come! Tracy
My 18 week end date is Jan 25th 2010 so this is just what I need to pull me through the holidays with no diversions! Thank you!!!
I'm in too. :) I need to keep absorbing this great energy that comes from this place! Thank you so much Mr. Phillips! :) I don't want to slack through the "holidaze" this year! Thank you to this whole place. :)

I GET TO continue on this journey forever! Whoo Hoo. Thanks Bill - this sounds like a great, inspiring, fun, good spirited (GIVE) challenge that will be just right for the holidays. Always time to keep moving forward and setting new goals. I love your goals to increase your endurance, I have the same plan in mind! Lori
I am in 100% Bill! I so need this right now especially with the holidays coming. It is a very emotionally challenging time for me that can easily trigger my eating disorder tendencies. This will be a wonderful way for me to have support and be able to support others in the community in upping our self-care during this traditionally stressful time. I'm also looking forward to participating in the coat drive as well as my annual baking that I do for my local food pantry. Thank you for the gift of this focus. -Shannon
This is great, this new year's eve I will not have to make a tiring resolution about how I need to lose weight this year, because I already did!!!
IN IN IN - lets rock n roll! I needed something to jumpstart me and this is it - new years is NOW - not in January! It is the first dayyou decided to fully transform
I'm going to WIN - not just because I want to win the top prize, but because I KNOW I can do this, AND I can't wait to complete this Challenge. : ) Maata

I am in Bill, This is just what I need to get ready for the 2010 Challenge. I am also shooting for the 2010 half marathon in Denver. Thank you for all your support. THIS IS MY TIME!!! NO looking back. Blessings, Keith.
Bill, as always, you are an inspiration. Thank you for continuing to motivate and challenge us.
First time posting....I'm in too! I'm 1/2way through a fitness challenge at work and I needed something else to shoot for. THANKS BILL! So -is there paperwork on how to sign up? I got caught in my loop when I tried to signup. Thanks! Bea
Count me in! Thank you for making this available Bill!
I actually jumped the gun on this - not on purpose though :) 10 days ago I went to a local photographer and scheduled a photo shoot for February 5th - because it gives me 16 weeks, and because it's the day before my birthday. My personal challenge to myself was to be in Fitness Model shape by that date. Not to jump around on a stage but "just" to take some poses in front of a camera; a professional one for once! Scary enough.
LET'S DO IT!
Thanks Bill, you are always finding better ways to help us stay involved and to help us challenge ourselves.
This is perfect. As I enter the last stage of my one year commitment to myself, I would be honored to join the holiday challenge. As I wind down my "regular" challenge this weekend, I will reevaluate where I am and refocus my 2 month objective and finish the year strong! Great idea! Every time I need another "deadline" you seem to provide it to me. Every time I need an encouraging word during the week, I seem to get a text from you. I'm really feeling the connection! I look forward to meeting with you some day. Thanks again Bill
Thank you. This community and you are truly an inspiration. Thanks for continuing to inspire us and motivate us towards being the best we can be in the world.
Well, you've done it again, Bill !:~) ...just what I (we ALL) needed and in perfect timing. (I REALLY needed this as I end my 18 weeks on November 1). I was planning to kick into "round 2" for me in mid-November, but this is MUCH better with a "quick return" for the Holidays. God bless you and thanks for letting Him use you to give me one more chance at a stunning OUTWARD transformation -- TOO. /:^) ~Wil
Bill- you rock! I am in! I have needed another opportunity because I let my life get in my way. Specifically Nursing School. It is demanding, hard, and all consuming to the point of exhaustion. I keep on having moments where the thought comes to me " If only I had the energy I had when I did Body-for-Life in Utah." I only made it 7weeks, but I felt great and looked great too. But I quit on myself. I cannot allow it anymore. I am in that place in my heart now, now more than ever. This will be about me-my health, longevity, energy and self esteem. "Let's Roll!" Thank you Bill
Bill you are so awesome my friend! This is a great to being a part of the Challenge during the holiday, God Bless You Brother! -John
Count me in! I am going to stick with the AP group since I have gotten to know so many in that group over the last 6 months... David

Thank you for the invitation! I'm looking forward to setting some purpose driven and challenging goals and entering the New Year with vitality, strength and an increased love. ...oh yeah, The Groft's are in!
I'm back, and I'm IN!

I'm in and I joined "honeybee's" Holiday Challenge Group! Woo Hoo! :) Sandy
Count me in, Bill! An official holiday challenge is exactly what I need to be fit, healthy and happy through November and December and beyond. It's like you read my thoughts or something.....by the way: sweet new pic ;-) I never actually got to have my picture taken with you, but this is close enough for now :-)
You answered my prayers, Bill. My Uncle Larry and I took our pictures on Oct 18th and have been very committed. I just started a job at LA Fitness and I have no excuses. It is my wish that many people take this challenge and spread the positive energy. God Bless, Tony
Sounds great. I am ready to get refocused and motivated for change. Thanks! Sara
Wow!! Thanks for this one, Bill. It is just what I need! The 4 pillars will help keep me focused on getting healthy!
Thanks Bill!
Hi Bill YES I'm in !I think this is a great idea it will help during the holidays and be a great start to the new year!!!!!!!!!!!
Bill this makes so much sense. The holiday season isn't supposed to be about gorging yourself and forgetting everything that matters. It is supposed to be about total focus on the most important things in our lives. What a great time for a challenge, I am up for it and am totally committed to helping others. Thank you Bill.............see you at the end of the line! Phil
Excellent plan to help America make the best of its holiday season. I'm very excited to share this challenge with my family and friends as well as participate!
CAN I DO IT? YES I CAN!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!
I am so glad I was thinking on the same lines as you. Before you made the announcement, I started a 10 week Holiday Challenge group. It was my way of keeping myself accountable as well as allowing others a place to share. I also had also talked to my husband this year about having our family give to charity rather than buying gifts for each other. I was excited to get your text today and read everything here I had been pursuing already. I am very excited for the next phase of my life.
Perfect timing. I have peeked in and out of this sight trying to re-energize myself to get involved;embarrassed because I've gained weight over the last year, and now finally disqusted enough to slowly move forward (I'm in my 2nd day of eating clean, working out). So bring it on. I've got to get rid of this 40" stomach and stand/run proud.
Thank you, Bill. This is what I needed to help me reach my goals. I get up to a point and then slide back to where I was. I need to do this. I am in!
Rats! I already live in Dallas and I'm trying to GAIN weight (muscle) over the holidays!
Dear Bill! I am so in. I just started a challenge but have decided to switch gears a bit and join your Healthy Holiday Challenge. This is EXACTLY what I need right now to get through the holidays and know there is a Happy New Year on the other side. I think Dallas in March sounds really, really good!
as usual great plan with alittle something extra. A gift to ourselves - peace and health. Thanks Bill
I think this is FANTASTIC! It's right on time for me and I'm sure a lot of others that tend to get a little more and more off track as the holidays get near! I love the thoughtful plan and I am definitely IN!! Thanks for all you do!~Debra~
What a great idea! A great motivation and goal over the holiday season...a gift to ourselves-HEALTH.
Thanks for this timely reminder. This is just what I needed. Consider me on board.
I am in the Challenge and heading to Dallas! I will lose 10 pounds per month (Nov and Dec) for a full weight loss during the Transformation Challenges of 40+ pounds! I will also show you my big biceps :) ~Kim

I'm so excited. I'm in!!!!
I'M SOOOO IN!!! I really want to reflect more on giving freely of myself this holiday season and not focusing so much on what all needs to get done. That really hasn't worked too well in the past so perhaps a different approach is just what I need. Thank you, Bill, for keeping us moving and for keeping that fire burning and thanks to this great community for so much unconditional love. We are the change and we are making the difference. Love you--Patty
I'm in, I'm in!!! Perfect timing, and perfect challenge! I have never felt so optimistic about the holidays in my entire life...amazing!!!

Me too!! me too!!! I am in :0)
This is JUST WHAT I NEEDED!! Oh my heck THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!! I needed motivation and inspiration to get me through these next 2 months. While they are my absolute favorites during the year...lots of friends and family...it is soooo HARD to stay clean!!! I was planning on cooking cleaner holiday foods but this will MAKE me!! I LOVE this and I LOVE the service part. I'm gonna think of something cool to do...soooo excited!!:) As always this place and you, Bill are amazing and my life is changing because of it. THANKS! Les
How greatful I am for this inspiring blog!I depend on intuition and promptings to serve others, and now "prompted" by you,BIll,I am coming up with actual plans for sharing my love and peace and service this Holiday Season.Today, tuesday,my day off,I will find a local charity to which the boys and I can donate our time for service .Now I just need to pray that I have the means to buy baking-ingredients to share christmas goodies. The time and love I put into this project every year means a lot to me,because of the joy it creates in those in need of love.
Challenge accepted- I am in 100%, Thanks-steve
I'm in! THANKS!
Awesome! I'm in! I'm very excited for some structure until the end of the year! Thanks Bill!!
Count me in Bill! As always, I appreciate you motivating us to hold steadfast to our transformation goals. This will be fun, but also helpful in keeping us on track through the holiday season. I would love to bring my wife to Dallas so she can experience what I did in Denver. Love you my friend, Greg :)
Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssir! Jump around and bounce, in getting down the pounds! We can do this as a happy Transforming family :):):):):):):):)
I'm in, thanks for the all the motivation, knowledge and Wisdom. This holiday season will be different from and better than any other I've ever experienced.
I'm in! This is a great incentive to keep me in the gym over the holidays. I also have the half marathon in Dallas in March as a goal to work toward. And just knowing that the group is in this together is priceless! ~ Beverly
Count me in! Thanks SO much Bill! (hug)
Yay! I have yet to make it through a Challenge and am feeling like this Challenge might be my first of many. I am feeling positive and charged from Denver. Thanks for offering this Challenge Bill! Love and hugs, Ashley
I'm in!
Bill, thank you so much for this challenge. Like everyone else, this is the toughest time of the year for me and, in addition to all the holidays, it is made more stressful by the fact that my children were born in November and December! I believe this is just what I need to keep me on track and focused and have the best birthday/holiday season yet with my family. I'm looking forward to entering the New Year with a completely different frame of mind than in the past. Thanks again so much for setting this up and I plan to see you in Dallas!!!!! Karri
Thank you so much Bill! This is just what I need to push me through the holiday season in a healthy fashion! Here's to the healthiest holiday season ever! Mary
i'm in. thanks.
I'm in... perfect timing as always, thanks Bill.
This is really really powerful. You are going to help SO many of us NOT slide backwards during the Holidays with this challenge!! I have lots to do. I need to really focus myself and come up with my goals and then jump in here. This feels really important and although I am a little afraid of committing to it especially during this time of year I can FEEL how important it will be to do it! I also am so motivated by the incentive because I want so much to be able to go to Dallas in March and know I do not have the means to do that. Even if I don't win one of the ten spots I WILL win by being healthier and stronger for accepting the challenge and I so want to support others in this journey. We are changing the world.....Thanks for this great opportunity! Love and light....Roberta
Oh my, this holiday season is going to be the polar opposite of what I'm used to!!! Welcome Holiday Challenge - I'm fired up and ready to seize the opportunity to better myself. Sincerely, thank you for the invitation to a Holiday Season filled with good health and happiness. I gratefully accept your invitation! With love and appreciation always... Your friend, Susan
Thank YOU!! Count me in, the Holidays have aways been very hard time for me. It's been depressing , sad and out of control but THIS YEAR I'll Take control and BE THE CHANGE I'm suppose to be. Denver put a FIRE in me and I'll keep it lit all year. THANK YOU again Kathi
P.S. Just signed up for the holiday challenge.....yesssssssssssireey! (smile) Love ya, Midnight Cardio Guy
Those goals and making healthy changes are very realistic and can be accomplished. In addition, doing the Denver marathon next year in 4 and a half hours is very possible. I'm happy to know this year we had 6 hours, because I set a goal for myself "which I forgot that we truly had 6 hours to complete the full marathon" that I would do the full marathon myself in less than 6 hours. I will definitely be looking forward to next year's Denver marathon and training hard @ full strength, especially focusing intensely on finishing next time around in 4 and a half hours tops or potentially less, as well as coming in leaner and defined to a "T"...[chiseled] !!! And, next year's marathon will also be another 26 miles Lord willing...at Full Strength! Yesssssssssir (smile) Love ya! Midnight Cardio Guy

I'm in Bill! This will be so helpful! Thank you! Lynn
As stated in my "So ya going ta layout now???" blog a while back we plan on "GETTEN TO IT!" till Jan 1 when we start the next official challenge. We've come to far and worked too hard to not keep this bod a rocken! --Mike

Man Mr. Phillips. Thank you so much for this challenge. This is going to be incredible. I am excited to make this my best holiday ever. There are so many things we can do, but more importantly, I know I need to change my heart. I have transformed dramatically so far, and this is just one more way to continue this life and learn. I will be transforming my heart to give unconditionally and really feel the power this season can bring to us. You are one awesome man. Shawn
After seeing all those people in Denver getting their medal, I can not wait for this challenge. See you in Dallas
I'm in !!! I'm in !!! I'm in !!! I'm in !!! I'm in !!! I'm in !!! I'm in !!! I'm in !!! I'm in !!! hehehe .... i was really worrying about my "x-mas mince pie addiction" .. i mean - x-mas without mince pies just is NOT x-mas ... and this IS my favorite time of year :-) but TEN days of yummy eating - well that gives me TEN days to eat my mince pies - that is SO manageable i even feel guilty having worried about it ... X-Mas is the best time of the year (and i mean from oct to jan) ... this year might just top the charts being able to gain momentum and energy from t-com members too !! I AM IN HOOK-LINE-&-SINKER !!!!
I am truly excited about the Holiday Challenge. This is just the pick-up I needed. I have been seriously dieting the last month or so. I have lost about 20 lbs. the last 2 months but I have 50 to go yet. I am doing it for my health because I have Diabetes type II. I also want to fit into a size 8 wedding dress by next fall. The Holidays always get me. I love to bake. Holiday baking is my weak point. And I know it will lead to serious weight gain if I don't get control ahead of time. I would like to finish my goal of a total 60 lbs. weight loss. I am already 20 lbs. ahead of myself. I just want to keep going and finish this time. I would also like to visit my dear friend in Dallas whom I haven't seen since 1995. So I am ready for the Challenge. This a great way to finish out 2009. Thanks so much Bill for all you do. I hope to see you in Dallas. Cheryl
Thanks for this incredible holiday gift to us Transformers, Bill! ~Elizabeth~
I'm ready!!! And I'm very excited about it. Nervous, but excited. :) Thanks, Bill!!!! ~Christin
ALRIGHT!!!! Dig your goals Bill...way to go leading the way!!!! I am totally into the Healthy Holiday Challenge and have formed a group ready to go!We are accepting new members each day in the group and invite all to join!!!! -disco
Totally exciting, Bill. Thank you for coming up with the idea. I love it and feel confident that it will help not only me, but my whole family have a better Christmas. I am looking forward to sitting down with Leslie and the kids, and planning the next two months of exercise, service and fun! --Andy
This is EXACTLY what I needed...thank you SO much, and I am definitely in! I have been barely staying afloat, and when looking out at the vast, sea of holiday eating looming before me, I had little hope of surviving it! :) You just threw me a life preserver...I'm excited to take this challenge!
Kevin and I are in Bill! Thank you for the challange! Melinda
This is AWESOME Bill! I am in 100%! I'm also planning on creating a support group for it. I'm really impressed with your goal of doing the full marathon in Denver next year in under 4.5 hours! I'm in for that too my friend! Here's to an amazingly happy and healthy holiday season!! Cheers, Paul.
Bill, you never cease to amaze me! The guidelines are going to make us reach for our goals, but for 8 weeks, we can do this! ~Erin
Again, THANK YOU BILL! Yes, I'm in! Like you said, "For the REAL reason for the season!" Uncle Dave
YAY! I'm in, too! Thank you, thank you, Bill, for bringing another round of inspiration--physically, mentally, and spiritually. I was just beginning to feel the "now what?!" blahs, and now I can turn that into a positive force over what is usually a somewhat sad and challenging time for me. I'm ready for a new challenge! Love & gratitude ~Florence
Yay! I am SO psyched for this holiday challenge! Bring it on! thank you, Bill!
Thank you for inspiring me to transform my holiday into something meaningful and more healthy. I usually gain about 10 pounds during the holidays. I bake myself to death. Literally, I am up until two and three in the morning baking. Some of the women of the Discomfortzone group have pledged to go sugar free this holiday. I pledged along with them. The only cookies I am baking this year will be to donate to our local prison. Thank you for also giving me incentive to make that goal. My picture and weight will be up Nov 1. Love you and thank you, Lynn*** P>S> you are right about not working out during the holidays. I usually do stop, so I can get all my holiday prep done. My priorities have changed so much this year. I think instead of a family dinner and gifts, we will volunteer at a soup kitchen and rent the local roller rink for a Christmas party for the grandkids.
I'm in. I like the new dimension this adds to the holidays for helping, being healthy and hope-filled going into the New Year and a new decade. Wohoo and thank you, Jackie
I LOVE this!!! Thank you so much. I am so very excited:) This will be my BEST 2 months ever, I already know it because there is no other option but to make it so. You always know how to create that extra spark in everyone to keep them going on a good path. I was already thinking and planning in my head how to accomplish what I needed over the holidays and bring my family a more meaningful Christmas - the wheels are spinning now. Have a fabulous week and I shall be seeing you in Dallas;) Lots of love to you ~~~Kerri~~~
This is so exciting Bill! My group No Excuses is geared up and ready to go!! Thank you for offering such an incredible incentive to help us to give ourselves the best Christmas gift possible...our health! Much love and gratitude...Carolynn...PS. 2 hrs. 15 min...can she do it?? Hmmm. I can sure as heck shoot for it!

Wonderful! I'm so IN! This is such a great idea and I was wondering what I was going to do... I was going to try and do another 18 week Transformation, knowing that I would miss out or have to start over in January without completing it. So - this is PERFECT. Thanks for the challenge and I am up for it. Now - just what to do next? I'll let you know... See you in Dallas!

This is just what I needed. I've never been good at keeping things under control this time of year and caring for myself is usually the first thing to go. If I can this time then that means I can do it again & again. Thanks
Hubby and I are both in! Even though we're travelling overseas in December, it's a great challenge for us. We were really wanting to eat clean, keep our workouts up and keep rolling with our transformations ... now we have even more reasons to stay on track. Cheers Bill!!
I AM IN!!!! I am not even going to hesitate on this one. We all know how crazy it can get with healthy eating & exercise around this beautiful holiday period. Having just joined this last weekend I was waiting for a challenge. Thanksgiving and Christmas are a good time to review what I value. Eating and sitting around just doesn't measure up to why we have the holidays in the fist place. New at all of this,--internet world, but am excited to learn .
I am so in!! This is exactly what I need to reconnect and make this the best holiday season!! Thanks Bill
Bill... Thank you! for the opportunity. I want to take part in it. I am in the 14the week of my transformation challenge and am I allowed to simultaneously participate in this challenge? If so that will be great. I have to think about my goal and most importantly the purpose. I will finalize both soon, if you allow me to simultaneously participate in both challenges. Thank you! Best~Prasad.
Awesome. Let's do this. My gratitude and giving wheels are spinning. Thanks, Bill, for the selfless outreach and invitation. Eme

Just signed up! I'm ready!!! I needed this challenge right now! I know that these holidays are going to be pretty stressful for our family with trying to recover from this economy, but I'm looking forward to eating right and exercising to keep me from dropping into that pit of depression! Me and my Hubby (brotherbrigham) are both in!! This should be quite challanging and exciting!! 11/1 perfect timing for me...It is this time of year that I really start to slip into a bit of a funk...I do love the holidays ..However all of the junk food and lack of sitting out in the sunshine, really starts to take its toll on me!! In fact today I was really starting to feel that gloom coming on and the replay of last years funk and trauma was coming up to the surface... And Voila!! Bill throws me a lifeline! Thanks Bill!! :) Last Christmas was a very hard and heavy time for me..and often times the weather and scents and smells bring back that previous years thoughts and feelings...So I am hoping to use these 4 pillars (love that by the way! ;) to keep me from going there again and set out a new joyfull memory for us to look back on next year and the years to follow!! Thanks again! Love Ya lots! ~Marie :)
Incredible! I am so excited! I am opening my group up to anyone and everyone who would like to join "Mellie's Crew" for this 10 week challenge! Thanks for the challenge Bill, and I look forward to continued success both individually as a community. Peace, light, and abundance - Kelli
I love the idea of this challenge. This a tough time of year for many people in many facets of our lives. I will post my exact goals. Because I am trying to be more health focused rather than scale or weight focused I may not have a poundage or body fat goal but a health goal. My project or purpose for the holidays is to not only help my sister get back on track but to also work on a volunteer project to help my community. Thanks BIll!!!!!
I'M IN !!!!!! WHAT A FABULOUS WAY TO STAY ON TRACK THROUGHOUT THE HOLIDAYS !!!!! ~Lisa
Bill - Thank you SO much for designing this awesome challenge. After Denver, I decided to confront my toughest issue yet.: Sugar Addiction. I am serious about it, and also a bit overwhelmed at what it is going to take for me to accomplish it. The Holiday Challenge is just the right positive reinforcement that I need. And winning a trip to the Dallas event is powerful positive pressure! My daughter gets married 10/31. So Nov 1st, I am in the game with both feet and all of my heart. Love you! ~Brooke
EXACTLY what I needed... thanks, Bill!
I'm in! My foot is healed, and I'm back at the gym. I also just got a job as a pastry chef at The Ritz, so I guess surrounding myself with my T.com buddies is the best way to keep from drowning in a vat of creme brulee or gingerbread this Christmas! I'm shooting for a half marathon in Ft Lauderdale in Feb, with some girlfriends here in South Florida. This is right on time for me!
I'm in! Thanks Bill Phillips for this challenge. I've been following your program all year and was stressing a bit on how to handle the Holidays. This will help. :-)
I'm in and with you on becoming a little lighter and work on my endurance and energy with running. Also to be of service and encourage everyone I can. Thanks for the motivation Bill..Love you..Stone
In.
Sign me up!! Cindy
Thanks Bill! Andrew and I are going to the grocery store and laying out our workout clothes right now!!!
Cool, that's a very well-thought out plan! This will be my first holidays free of sugar, alcohol and drugs. I'll actually get to enjoy my fam instead of thinking about food and drugs and getting drunk, I'm SO grateful for that!!!!!!! I like your goal of running faster, I'm going to work on that too, and I'm going to work on my career goals too!! My Mom is also excited about the holiday challenge! That's awesome that you included the use of suport groups in your plan too, it helps so much to be held accoutable and be able to share feelings with people like that. Thanks Bill =)
I am so in! :0)
Oh my Bill, this definitely exceeded my expectations of the challenge! This is going to be an exciting & fun Holiday Challenge. God bless =) Jerome
Yeah Bill! We have all been anxiously waiting for the details on the Holiday challenge. You are so right in this is the time of year where we forget and let our workouts slide. I need to accountability! And 10 free days?? WOO HOO I mean. Come on! It's only 8 weeks! Hugs Edie
~*~~*YES!~*~*~

i'm in and my wife, luana is in... thank you so much for always finding the next level....see you in dallas
I was afraid the community would experience a lull during the holidays - a traditionally lonely time for me and just when I need everyone the most - as everyone would be off doing fun things with their loved ones. Thanks for creating a reason to stay connected- you ALREADY made my Christmas!! Thanks for all you do - Liz
Count me IN! And I've got at least one new T.commer to come along for the journey.
Thanks Bill! This will be the healthiest holiday season ever! -- Robin
I GET TO!! be counted in. Thank you so much Bill. This will be the best Christmas season ever. Scott
I am excited for this. I am going to work on my endurance in running through the holidays. I am also going to transform the way my family spends the holidays, from gifts to drinking alcohol...to spending memorable family time and giving together. Thanks for another good program.~Cathy
Roland and I are elated and grateful for this holiday challenge. We've fallen prey to the exact problems you've outlined over the years and we are ready to "step it up" especially after the inspiration we got in Denver. Thanks for being so smart and so generous, Christine
Bill, the Holiday Challenge is such an awesome idea! I tend to get a little crazy with my Mom's Milk Chocolate fudge during the holidays so this challenge will keep me focused on healthy eating. This is going to be an amazing holiday season. . .keeping it healthy and filled with love, peace, and joy!! By the way, Bill, I love your purpose! Wow! I cannot wait to see the smiles of hundreds of Make A Wish Children. Incredible! Touches me deeply! : ) God bless you and your BE-YOU-tiful Vision! ~Kimberly : )
Count me in, this is awesome, what a great way to keep the healthy habits going over the holidays! Thank you so much Bill, you are great! ... Dieanna

Woo hoo hoo hoo! I'm looking forward to it! : ) ~NANCY~
Thanks for the great challenge Bill! My biggest temptation during the holidays is Christmas cookies, but knowing that the only way I will make it to Dallas in March is to win, I know I will be able to resist temptation until free day :) (especially with all the great tools/inspiration that I know you and this community will provide) I've already signed up, and will be watching for more info! Margaret
I LOVE this new challenge and that it's right on the heels of Dever - so no slacking off!... keep MOVING forward. That is so important. I'm really looking forward to this - all of it! Thanks, Bill. ~Janice
Awesome! Im all in! So exciting, I love it. ~Thia~
Yaaaah Deita!!! Bill! I'm in!
I am so excited about this challenge. I have already joined Spencer's group and designated my accountability person. I get so down in the dumps every holiday season and had already contemplated going back to the doctor to get some meds for this one...the depression always comes around this time of year. I'm so happy that this community and challenge will keep me in high spirits-without medication! Thank you, Bill!!!
Bill, I am SO SO SO excited for this. I know the FIRST healthy thing I am doing is going to be quitting a 30 year smoking habit.... I will be starting a support group right here online for anyone that wants to join me. Just email me and I'll get you the details. YES WE CAN do this together! Love & Hugs in great health! Deita
IM IN...FULLY IN...Extremely IN...count me IN! LOVE SHARI! Love you my big brother! Shari!
I'm in! Thanks for the motivation.~~~~~Susan
I have to say that this Challenge is exactly what I need. I was getting a little nervous about how I was going to tackle to gap between now and january 1. I know that I still need the postive pressure of a true challenge in order to succeed. I was so excited when I heard the news and am looking forward to the next 10 weeks. This WILL be the best Holiday Season ever. Thanks, Eric
WOW!! Thank you SO MUCH, Bill!! This is just the thing I need to keep me moving throughout the holidays, and what a wonderful way to start out the New Year!!!!!!! See you in Dallas!
