So totally Awesome and Inspiring. My Son is currently Stationed in Iraq and currently going through hell emotionaly> I am not very well equiped to help my son even though I am a Vetran. My only hope is that some one Like Kevin is there helping and grounding my son giving him strength. If my son had met you while He was at Camp liberty last year I think he would have become inspired. Kevin great story. It took me back to when my husband and I were separated by the military. You and your wife strengthened your marriage by keeping the communication open. You really learn what is important in life. I like the motto: It doesn't matter. When something bothers you, look at it and decide if it will matter in 3 days, if it won't then let it go. Live like this day is your last. Having been in a near death situation, knowing that today could be my last. I appreciate you and what you and your wife have done for our country. Wow...tears rolling...what a beautiful love story...for our country and for the men and women that serve our country and what they sacrifice to do do. ...and the sacrifice the families left behind endure. I have been blessed my it as I know so many are. I am proud of our country and our military...my father was a pilot in the Air Force 30 years..served in VietNam. There are just so many good things about this video, but I guess what I love the most is how once Kevin set in motion his transformation, people were instantly inspired! I love that his wife kept her transformation a secret so she could surprise him. I loved seeing everyone working out with him in Iraq and then his family working out together when he returned home. I saw a sign recently that said "land of the free, because of the brave" - this is so true! Freedom isn't free it comes with a great price, just ask my dad who was a navigator and gunner on B25s and then B27s during WWII. I thank everyone who has had any part of preserving my freedom over the years. You are the best and you are in my prayers each day. This was so amazing! My favorite part was when Kelly decided she was going to quit blaming everyone else! Then it got better to see the renewel that came to their marriage! I am so grateful to see an example of a marriage that through such a huge challenge, is not only still in tact, but thriving!

I'd like to add that Kelly's story was also inspiring. Being a single mom myself, I know how difficult it is to be responsible for EVERYTHING - I remember being in tears the first time I had to get a mouse out of the house - I'm terrified of mice - and I felt so alone. It's the little things that get to you. Kelly reminded me to stop blaming others and circumstances and to stop feeling sorry for myself - to take responsibility for my life and the things I CAN control. Yay Kelly!

It was very inspiring. My favorite part was the homecoming and when he said that before he left for Iraq, he'd leave before the kids got up and come home after they went to bed and missed their hugs and that now he'd never pass up an opportunity again. That reminded me how precious our time with our children is and that, especially at 13 & 15, when they WANT to spend time with me, I should drop everything and be with them, because nothing is more important, and there'll come a time, too soon, when they won't be around to hug...(tears...) Kevin G is a hero of mine for sure. What amazed me about Kevin was how he was being of service and even keeping member's accountable while he was in Iraq. Kevin is a perfect example of a person with a true servant heart. My favorite part of the story is when he returns home and just all the emotion of him seeing his family and I love how he shares about his appreciation of even the smallest things. Thank you for sharing this beautiful story of triumph amid difficult situations. Every time I try to make an excuse for myself I hear these beautiful stories echo in my head and I know that there is no reason why I can't succeed if all of these heroes can! I love that Marty's courage coupled with compassion led to Kevin being inspired and he in turn has inspired many more. Bill's goal of worst to first could easily happen with each successful transformer paying it forward exponentially. Very inspiring story! I'm reminded of my pre-BFL/Transformation life when I would always use the excuse of being too busy to take care of myself. And I would see the stories of our men and women who were serving - if they had time, then I had time! (Just looking at the early scenes on the video... those concrete barriers are to keep BULLETS out... if they can dig deep and transform...we all can) So wonderful to see him come home to the arms of his family. This is an incredible video. I was as deeply touched by this video as I have been these last several months by the emails that Kevin and I exchanged while he was in Iraq. Kevin is just simply inspiring. My favorite part of the story was watching him in Iraq, finding a way to "BE the change," in a place where it might be easy for a person to feel sorry for themselves. Wow...I almost should have waited until I got home to watch this instead of watching at work because it really moved me and had me tearing up. I've seen in my own extended family and circle of friends the strains overseas deployment can put on marriages, and what Kevin and Kelly were able to accomplish under circumstances like they faced is truly inspirational. My favorite part was definitely Kevin's account of struggling to stay focused in formation while seeing his wife there waiting for him. I know from my own (admittedly brief) military experience how tough maintaining that focus can be. Their explanation of how they cherish so many things that we so often take for granted really hits home for me, and I'm so thankful for the opportunity to hear their story. Cool, I've been waiting to see that video!! Kelly was in my accountabilty group, so I would always hear about what was going on with her transformation and Kevin, but I never got to see any pics or hear the whole story like that. I think that's inspirational that Kevin was able to influence other soldiers in Iraq and his own wife by changing his health first. That just shows how powerful it is for one person to make healthy changes, then create a rippling effect and influence others to improve their health, then they influence others...it just illustrates how the vision of transforming the nation from worst to first is really possible and pretty simple.... I'm grateful to Kevin and Kelly for spending their time to share their story like that so they can inspire us. I think it's also inspirational that they've been married for 22 years and they still love each other and enjoy spending time with each other. =)

I have been so eagerly waiting to see Kevin's story and it was so inspiring to see and hear Kevin and Kelly. My favorite part was when Kevin came home and he was talking about the human touch.
