Now it's your turn to be the change
Are you up for the challenge of a lifetime? If so, please read this message carefully…
Okay, as you may know by now, the new Transformation Community is all about helping each other make healthy changes across the board: body, mind, heart and soul. For some this means breaking free from a lifetime of suffering from poor health and low energy. For others, it’s making the leap from a good life to a GREAT life! And for ALL it’s about going to the next level. There’s always a next level -- there’s always untapped potential waiting for us to make a conscious decision to reach up and claim it. There’s a level beyond Body-for-LIFE, and that’s what Transformation is all about.
I have no better way of explaining this than by way of example -- our first 2008 Transformation Champion, Martin Goldman, began his journey on January 1, when a phone call informed him of the worst possible news any parent could ever receive -- his son Tom, a decorated hero in the Iraq War, had died. In the days that followed, as he and his family grieved, Marty began to contemplate doing something to try to overcome this adversity and find a new and better way to LIVE, instead of just trying to “survive” it all.
Accepting the Challenge
When I heard about what Marty was going through, I went out to visit him in Waukegan, Illinois. We got to know each other, had some fun, and then we got to work. I challenged Marty to make the decision to find meaning, hope, and inspiration in the adversity. I challenged him to do the work to make himself not just as good as he ever was, but better. And I challenged Marty to become an inspiration to others who are hurting by proving that no matter what, you can change your life for the better. Marty accepted my Challenge, and made it his mission to succeed.
Marty had so much momentum and positive energy, he continued on and in just 18 weeks he lost 71 lbs of unhealthy bodyfat, and increased his endurance by 10 times. That stunning physical change was a reflection of the powerful inner transformation Marty experienced during that time.
Martin’s First Exercises
Marty got started by taking a brutally honest look at himself. He took a before photo, attached it to a blank sheet of paper, and around it he wrote down a dozen words/phrases that described what the man in the photo was feeling inside. Clearly, in the reflection of his physical form it was evident that this once tall, slender, active and athletic guy had become out of shape, overweight, and was suffering. Marty described the “inner condition” of the man he saw in that photo with the words, “Embarrassed. Depressed. In denial. Afraid. Disconnected from his spiritual source. Resisting God’s plan for his life. Down and out. Missed the bus. It’s no longer funny. Not just big… JUST FAT. Uninspired.” And, “On the verge of giving up.”
Next, I asked Marty to take out another sheet of paper and draw a rectangle in the middle… in that I asked him to describe what he wanted to see in an after photo; he wrote down, “Slender. Athletic. Toned muscles. A younger, healthy body.” And outside the rectangle I had him write down a dozen words/phrases that describe how the totally transformed Marty will feel. And so he wrote… “Inspired. Spiritually connected. Flowing and open to light. Strong. Authentic. A good husband, father and grandfather. A leader. Loving. Proud yet humble. Compassionate. Successful. Happy.”
Looking back now, Marty can see that without this first exercise -- a step that takes a lot of courage and is one that I’ve discovered most people are unwilling to confront -- he would not be where he is today. That first exercise alone brought about a transformation of his consciousness, and an awakening of awareness as to where he really was, inside and out. And his vision of where he wanted to be sparked a desire to improve, which he hadn’t felt in decades.
From there, each week, I let Marty know what he had to do at that point to continue to move forward in the right direction. And I’ll tell you what, I don’t think I’ve ever had the opportunity to guide and teach a better student. He listened to the lessons, meditated upon them, processed the information, and then he’d flip that switch -- he’d cross that abyss and transform knowledge into action. He worked hard at this. And all the while, he gave more of himself to his family, his grandkids (Tom’s three sons), and to his job. He never once complained that he couldn’t “find time” because he was too busy making time to get on with what he had to do. He never once asked, “What’s in it for me?” And he never once doubted or went back on his decision to accept the Challenge to transform his life.
Totally Transformed
The result? Total transformation… head to toe, inside and out, body and soul. In the beginning, I don’t think even Marty himself knew how much he was capable of. No one around him really knew that in 18 weeks he would change his life so completely. And even though I believed in Marty all along -- he even surpassed my greatest hopes and prayers for him.
For this new Challenge, you need to begin your transformation between January 1 and February 15, 2009 (2/15 is the absolute deadline -- no one, for any reason, can get involved later than this). For many, this new Challenge will be an opportunity to get back on track -- to not only recreate their previous success with Body-for-LIFE, but to make the changes on the inside that have to be there in order to sustain the changes on the outside. For others, who are already moving in the right direction, this is a chance to lift your transformation from good to GREAT! And for those who have never participated in one of my Transformation events, well, for you, as Marty has experienced over the past few months, you’re in for a real eye-opening and empowering journey!
Make no mistake, this is not all fun and games. As I see it, there’s no such thing as an easy Challenge. In fact, at times, as Marty found out firsthand, the Transformation assignments for the week are difficult -- very difficult. The High Intensity training that you’ll need to complete each week will test you physically and mentally. And the brutal honesty required to complete the spiritual exercises will reveal an inner strength you have had all along, but never knew quite how to tap into. You will have to earn it to own it through.
Many won’t make it across the finish line. But some of you will. And for you, I guarantee your life will never be the same. You will achieve a new level of physical and spiritual fitness that you may not have known was even possible. And, like Marty, you may soon wake up in the morning, and for the first time in a long time, look in the mirror and smile because you like what you see, and you love the way you feel. And from there, your positive energy, your living example, will inspire dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of people to take a look at their lives and make a change for the better. Truly, like Marty, you have the opportunity to be the change that we need to see in the world today.
$10,000 to Donate to Your Favorite Charity
Also like Marty, you’ll be competing for rewards which benefit others, as well as yourself. I’m looking for 3 “Be-the-Change Champions” out of this event -- I’ll award each with $10,000 for themselves and $10,000 to donate to a cause (charity, organization or person) that they hold close to their heart. And, with your permission, I’ll come out and celebrate your success with you, and we’ll share your inspiring story with thousands of others here in the Transformation Community and in upcoming television programs and books.
To enter this challenge, there’s no fee. You don’t have to buy anything. My intention is to simply do what I can to help you make a change and make a difference. So what do you say? Are you up for a real challenge? If so, sign up here and let’s get started. When you do, I’ll send you a message about how to take the next step. From there, I’ll send you your next mindset and soulset exercises as well as your workouts and nutrition plan for the week. Each week, you will get a new assignment to help your transformation move forward fast.
Together, We Can Do This!
One of the most important aspects of making this change is being a part of this community -- giving others support and encouragement, and being open to receive it in return. This community is an incredible source of positive energy. Our members are willing, honest, humble, empowered and are all open to seeing the vision of transforming this nation from worst to first within 10 years. For that to happen, we must each accept that the Transformation has to start with US, and it has to start here. And what better time than NOW?!
Marty's set a strong example of how to be the change. Now it’s your turn!
Sincerely,
Bill
