Hey Chris, Fortunately, our friend is getting married at the Newport Naval Base on July 4th! So instead of a big sloppy BBQ where food is "hanging" all day, we'll be having a nice sit down dinner that's much easier to manage. My advice is to go rustle up a single friend and have him arrange a wedding that you can attend; tell him you want the white fish with vegetables, one martini, and a bottle of San Pelegrino with lime. Sure he only has 3 days to find the girl and make the arrangements, but he can quit his belly-aching and get on it. Happy 4th, enjoy, and be safe.

Good Question Chris, I will be BQing myself so it makes it easy to add no sauce to the chicken and forget the sausage for my self, but not forget about the others. As far as potato salad ( being my favorite and also being the one to make it) It will be hard to pass up. I will limit my share to i/2 the bowl , Oh! mistake I meant 1/2 a cup. I add apple wedges to my potato salad it gives it a great flavor. Maybe a green salad with vinaigrette and Ham for the others, baked, but grilled with BQ sauce. I make my own sauce from a family recipe. My brother was Mr french cuisine 4 years in a row in the Gonzales Cook off. His favorite was jambalay and gumbo so we have many great sauces he made. We will surely miss his cooking this 4TH. Baked beans is a must so I want leave that out, but I want add bacon to mine for seasoning. The rest is roasted corn wrapped in foil on the BQ grill and my special (kabobs) with fresh green and red pepers along with mushrooms basted with spray butter for me ( 0 cal, 0 carbs heck! 0 every thing. No beer for me ( I don't drink) iced tea un-sweetend or water. All in All I hope it to be a great weekend. Hope you and your family have a great 4TH of JULY and a safe one. John
