I Am

I'm a 55yo grandma of 3 granddaughters. I've been working night shift in an ER as the xray tech & admission clerk for over 20 yrs. I've been married to wonderful man for the last 35 yrs & we have 2 sons & wonderful Daughter-in-laws. Family is #1 to me. :) I fell last year& injured my knee, had surgery & it really opened my eyes. My Husband & I are very active. We like to hike,bike & kayak. You don't realize how quickly your life can change. I had a few months to sit & think about mine, wondering if I was ever going to do the things I love again.Along with this disability my thyroid completely shut down & the Dr. has been changing my meds every month trying to regulate it. This has been making it hard for the weight to come off also, but the doctor is very impressed with my bloodwork otherwise.I have a long way to go, but I feel I'm headed in the right direction. Surely getting more weight off my knee will help. I started my journey at 265 & am down 55lbs as of 10/09

To me, Transformation Means

To me Transformation means getting my life back in order-inside & out. I am going to take responsibility for my health in this Transformaion. I want to love & forgive myself for all the abuse I've put this old body thru. I'd really like to like me.

My Goals

Be responsible for my health Eat 5-6 healthy meals a day Exercise 6 days a week Drink 8-10 glasses of water a day Work on all the assigments of the challenge Finish the Challenge

My Intentions

To participate in the forums more.To let more people know about Transformation.To work really hard on changing on the inside.To make myself my #1 Priority.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

My children & grandchildren.The people I work with.Others with injuries who just want to give up.
