Hey! Thanks so much for the email...and CONGRATS on all of your accomplishments along the way. I'm another Bill-for-life'rs from back in the '90's too :) Such a small world and amazing how he's touched so many along the way! What area of study are you finishing in med school? Which route are you taking next? I studied sports medicine and loved every minute of it. Spent a decade coaching USA-Swimming and setting up training programs and now I work in a TINY Christian school and it's FANTASTIC. Strange to see that after all the work (and MOOLA for college) that so many end up finding something your heart loves and it's so far off of your studies! God is good! Even with chaos, know that I'm here for you and will pray for rest so that you can achive your goals this year. YOU CAN DO IT! Lots of love from chilly Wisconsin! ~Jessica

I Am

Hi I'm David, a 4th year medical student, with one more year of training before I receive my M.D. degree. I was supposed to have graduated in '09' but took some time to spend with my father, as he recently lost his fight against cancer. I am back to finish what I started, and send a big thank you to those in the transformation community who kept my father in prayer.

As for Mr. Phillips, I have followed him since 1997 when he first came out with the Body of Work video, and remember hating being to young to compete in Body for life. His influence in my life has not been limited to that of fitness. For instance, considering I grew up in a "Spanish ghetto," I am not only the first in my family to attend medical school, but also the first to successfully graduate high school; I can honestly say that in addition to God, family and good friends, Bill Phillips is one of the other reasons why I've made this far in life. I applied so many of his early philosophy toward fitness and health, to that of my academics....and look where I am now! Its funny how almost 13 years later I still continue to thank him!

During these last few years, my crazy work/studying schedule, as well as life's many twists and turns have made me lose touch of my physical fitness, and spiritual health! I hope to struggle, learn, grow and give back as I transform!

My Favorite Charity

Hispanic Scholarship Fund

To me, Transformation Means

What does transformation mean to me>>>;Pending

My Goals

Consistency/Lifestyle1)Holiday Start date 11/1-End date 12/31 2)Be 7 pounds lighter. 3) Work on those love handles!!!!!! 4)Always a goal: Continue to grow into an amazing doctor and role model to my patients, friends and family. **4) Continue to make my father proud; God rest his soul, by attaining a strong, lean physique as he once had.

My Intentions

I hope to work as a physician in a undeserved Latino population. There aren't many Hispanic physicians out there, and even fewer setting up practice in undeserved communities.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

1)Family...starting with my mother 2)Friends 3)Patients 4)Marty Goldman / Bill Phillips!
