Blah, blah, blah.... I was the one who took him to the airport! See, all of you only see Eric a few times a year, but I have to put up with him everyday. And now he's a Champion.... Oh my god! The neighborhood will never be the same. But seriously, most of you only know Eric through his profile, blog, or having met him in Dallas. I, on the other hand, have witnessed the continued transformation of this truly remarkable, and gentle man from my backyard. I have seen the beautiful transformation of not only a man, but a family. Eric may be Tcom's newest Champion, but he will forever be my inspiration, and most importantly..... my friend. Congratulations !!!!!

I Am

I am 44 yrs old and am a loving father of 4 amazing boys under the age of 14 and have just celebrated 16 yrs of marriage with my wonderful wife Sandy. I was a semi-pro hockey official and am now a Youth Hockey Coach for USA Hockey who loves making a difference for kids! I was a 4Week BFL winner in 1999. I had Melanoma Cancer in 2005 and have a 8" scar on my back to remember it by. I am a person who has had big dreams and have physically and spiritually been on a roller coaster ride while going through the challenges of maturing and raising a family from age 30-44. I am a person who does not want to cheat myself and my loved ones, not only in time, but in happiness by letting my unhappiness with my body affect my spirit, my body and my family in a negative way.

My Favorite Charity

Cancer Research Institute: www.cancerresearch.org, MAKE*A*WISH, BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS

To me, Transformation Means

REAL CHANGE: BOTH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL.
Having gained back all my fat and more after getting fit in 1999, I have a unique perspective of realizing the importance of what Bill Phillips has realized from helping so many, in that it must be a real internal change to not only be permanent, but also for it to then in turn "Be the Change" by impacting others in the same and gratifying way producing true fulfillment.

My Goals

WEEK 1-18:To make that real Transformation both internally and externally in such a way that I not only have a 6pack, but that I am an example of health for my family. My goal is to not only have that Gold Seal on my profile but to externalize that to make a difference for my family and others. Specifically my goals are to be below 10% bodyfat and have a 34" waist with a muscular and symmetrical physique.
Update,FROM WEEK 19 FORWARD:
This marks a new beginning for me as I look back as I am now an example of health for my family!!! As I look forward, I do so with sheer excitement for what is ahead and what a difference I can make in the lives of others and making every day full of happiness, goodness, joy & fulfillment. My goal/desire is now even deeper and stronger to have that Gold Seal on my profile as a seal of approval by Bill Phillips, Coach Stoney, Clarissa and Tcom as a whole that I represent and shall truly honor the positive empowering nature of this community and carry the message forward that is now exuding my whole being.
My next physical goal is to reduce my waist to 31'' with the focus on continuing to build muscle.

My Intentions

My intentions are to honor the goodness, sincerity and heartfelt conviction that I have felt and am feeling again from Mr. Bill Phillips. My intention is to first Transform myself and then help Bill carry the torch to change the lives of others.
Update,FROM WEEK 19 FORWARD:
I have been compelled/empowered to now be involved with BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS locally and also MAKE*A*WISH locally to carry the message forward of possible change and as well continuing to significantly increase my volunteer contributions and impact through my church and also through our local Youth Athletic Programs as a Coach and a mentor.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

I would like to inspire busy people between 30-60, because I am one and I know the challenges. I would like to inspire kids from14-30 because I have 4 boys and am a hockey coach that has seen first hand the dire needs of our young children for the right information given with compassion, the right way, as an example set by Bill Phillips.
Update, FROM WEEK 19 FORWARD:
This vision has changed and now my entire focus shall be on positively
affecting the lives of children primarily focusing on the ages of 8-18.
