Well - follow up with the doctor did not go as I expected it to go.
Looks like I really did a number on my ankle. The hairline fracture has now opened up to a full break. The doctor said I was an eyelash short of having surgery to put a screw in my bone to hold it together. He told me that for the next 4 weeks I am to only walk when absolutely necessary...to wear my frankenboot and to keep my foot up. This is exactly what I intend to do...I want this to heal.
What this means to me is that I have to tighten the screws on my nutrition. I haven't binged - so I know it's working. But now I need to tighten things up...making sure I eat every 2 1/2 to 3 hours consistently. Making sure I have the proper portion sizes and making sure I get a variety of different nutritious protein choices in.
I just thank GOD today I didn't have to have surgery...that would have been horrible! Now - Denver...I have at least 4-6 weeks to heal. Then there's physical therapy. I'm looking at about 2-2 1/2 months of being off my foot. This year I will attend our Denver conference and cheer you guys on from the side-lines. I'm ok with this...really...I'm ok. I need this to heal properly and I don't want to push things right now. So, this is the decision I've come to.

8:30 - M1 - Whole wheat bagel (230) - 3/4 C. egg beaters (120) - forgot the cheese today DOH! w/ multivitamin
11:30 - M2 - 4 oz chicken (186) - 1 cup brown rice (300) - 1 cup green peas (125)
2:00 - M3 - Right Shake
M4 - 1 cup 2% cottage cheese (165) - 1/2 cup yogurt (60) - 1/4 cup Grape Nuts (100)
M5 -
M6 - Right Shake

Yes, you get to work on other areas of your life right now. Doc pulled my gym card as well - I know it's not easy but it will pass quickly. L, ~S~
