Jack LaLanne
Today I was reading an article on Jack LaLanne in Costco’s monthly publication, when I was reminded of a very wise health principle. In his words: “If man makes it, don’t eat it.” I know that with some of our current eating patterns, it is easier said than done, but it is definitely worth striving for. For a man who is 93 years old and can still out-swim many of us, maybe we should listen to good advice when we hear it. So, for those of us that would rather be walking than in a wheelchair at 93 (or even for those of us that want to try and live that long), when you have a choice between a cookie and an apple, think to yourself, “Do I want to put dead fuel or living fuel into my body?” What may have seemed a difficult choice might just become a little easier!
I love Jack LaLanne I remember when my mom used to turn him on and do those exercises with the chair. He is an amazing inspiration. Thanks for the reminder
