Terri I like the way you handle adversity. It seems to me you just pick up and keep on going. Very inspiring ~ david
I got in my rowing at 5:15 am. A stiff NE wind made the 1st leg hard and slower than usual. coming back was fast with trailing wind and waves. Rowed jsut short of two hours. Today I am running a tight table no food wobbles! Ab work too probably after breakfast settles. OBTW I think its amazing that Tuesday the temp was 103 and this morning it is only 50. Very active weather! ~ david

wow life changes in a blink. 1 minute all is quiet the next college kids come home plus all the contents of 2 dorms. I live in a very small beach "cottage" no attic no basement= no storage space none! I need to find a way to live harmoniously with huge amount of random stuff in my living room.

I went to the Y and did assisted pull-ups on Tuesday and my arms are still screaming at me (DOMS)
as I continue to work towards a healthier version of me I wanted to Thank everyone in this group for being here the power everyone sharing this common goal is sustaining me.

Hey all!
Long time no see

I am still here! I have been dealing with some curve balls that life sometimes throws at us. The Transformation tools that I've learned help me look at my current situation as a possibility to learn something and become stronger.

Thank you everybody for your support!

Wow Terri - I likewise am speechless. I am impressed that you have continued with resolve to better your physical and emotional condition in life and focus on good nutrition and exercise. Great job! You are a survivor and Champion.

I am new to this group and thread. I do not post much, but I do read and learn a lot from many who do! Thanks for sharing.

About the subject of migraines, it reminded me of a video documentary I saw about the life and achievements of Dr. Max Gerson. Has anyone seen the documentary - The Gerson Miracle? The topic of migraines reminded me of the documentary.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbIix...-button&wide=1

As long as we are talking nutrition - a documentary call Food Inc. should be on every Transformation members must see list.

Back to the topic of the Summer Challenge. I know many people plan and work their schedules so perfect and others struggle continually.
Me, I do not struggle. I am eating right - however I suffer from monotonous food selection of same ol' thing.

M1 - Same as yesterday
M2 - same as yesterday
M3 - Turkey sandwich or Tuna
M4 - same as yesterday
M5 - Chicken or beef
M6 - same as yesterday

Has anyone else suffered from this? What have you done to change it up but keep it simple enough as not to be over consuming on your time?

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning all of you! I did my authentic movement class last night. I have improved both flexibility and balance. I lay it at the feet of power lifting.

After having great success in last year's 18 week challenge, I gave in to the crazy pace my life was reeling at and wandered away from T.com. I signed up to start this 8 week summer challenge and was going to start on the 23rd of May. A very last minute opportunity arose and I flew to England on the 27th with a friend. We toured England and Scotland for 10 days, and while we walked for miles every day, we also ate LOTS. So now I'm home and desparate to take charge once again of my life.
I will do this challenge, unoffically I guess since I missed the cut off date. I need to go back over my notes and food journals from last year and copy them for this challenge.
I know that the support of friends on here makes a huge difference and I'm looking forward to reconnecting with old friends and making new ones.
Hope you all have a beautiful weekend

Good morning to all on the Saturday June 11.
David, Sharon, Sheridan, Mike- Thank you for your kind comments above to me on the migraine question/answer.
It is sunrise and ………………

I‘m headed out to do my walking cardio and flower delivery to shut ins.
Nothing like the sound of the joyful birds before the sunrises

“Faith is the bird that sings before the dawn”

(I remember hearing that as a kid)

Grateful:
-to sleep all night and not get “on call” call for Dad
- no smoke at the moment outside
-to have this cherished dawn time
-for today and what it will bring
-so very much more……………………

well here I go hope all the “big varmints” have gone to bed

Enjoy your day!

With love and gratitude to all

-Terri

Its Saturday and I am looking forward to a busy day. Preping the house for a lunchen on Sunday. Diane's piano lesson and Art on the lake today plus the usual errands. Yesterday I did my power lifting it was great I used more weight on the bar than last time I did the exercises. Swam a bit in the pool I could sense better, more flexible, and powerful on each stroke. Looking forward to rowing on Sunday and power lifting Monday ~ david

Perfect, Mike! We don't really *chat* too much here either. We are out there applying the lessons to our life, coming here to post our accountability, struggles and the solutions we apply. The 18 week honeymoon is earning our learners permit! OUT THERE is where we earn our salt so to speak.

I am pretty ok with redundant and easy food choices, since I eat to live and not live to eat. But if bordom is putting your program to sleep, would herbs and spices help? We had a member each week tossing her chicken into a crock with a jar of green chili sauce. Then she'd make it into breakfast burritos, chicken/rice, topping for potatoes and salads.

To keep it simple and not over consuming, I have a cook fest on Sunday where I prep most everything for the week. It takes about 2-3 hours investment but saves so much more during the week, especially with clean up, since I'm not chopping the meat, veggies and onions every day and rewashing the same utensils and pans! Then I can just go to the fridge, grab and eat!

Do you have the Eating-for-LIFE recipe book? There are some recipes from the book under the *nutrition* tab.

MAKE it a happy and healthy day!

Hi all
Very quick check on on this Sunday …….
I’m on call for my Dad and trying to get packed up for hopefully Monday at 5am….

Today is my free day-doesn’t really much- I eat the same thing in the summer almost every day.
Question: #1 all my meals are basically the same every day/ week. Do we need to post them?

Question: #2 Does anyone remember what the 18 week challenge deadline is to turn in everything?

(I’m grateful for my nephew fixing my computer---but can’t find some of my stuff and may have to retype the last 18 and essay)
.
Enjoy the day and upcoming week!

Tracy,

It is great to see someone get started again. I am glad you got going today. Have fun with it! Remember when you started last time? Well, you GET TO START ANEW AGAIN! No magic needed. Just a good ol' sense of want to and a bit of determination and whaaaalaaa - you are doing it!

Have fun with the goal of becoming a better you!

Mike
