Will we be identified as part of a group when we register or do we just register individually and all just meet up there? Do you know what I mean? Like most marathons have charity groups you can join. Is Transformation - Make a Wish going to be an official charity team?

I am sure something like this will develop as the months go by... hang off signing up for now and lets see what happens...

I am excited about the race. I have a lot of training to do to get my endurance up.

This is part of my question. The other has to do with airline flights, the earlier the better as far as price goes. So, will someone tell us when to schedule flights

I second the time to book flight questions. Better yet, dates T.com group plans to be in Denver and a hotel to reserve rooms at so we are in the same place?

Last year the group got together Saturday Morning for breakfast. the Marathon starts at around 7:00 am. The Transformation team stayed at I beleive it was the Downtown Sheriton. There are Several of us transformers that live here in the Denver area and I am sure anyone would be willing to answer questions about Denver.

I know for sure that Jacki and I are entering the maratohn, and through ecxcitement and a little peer pressure I think we can get 100% participation of Colorado Transformers. Anyone can email me and I will answer your questions, or help you out anyway I can.

Here is a little information about last years race
"The race weekend brought nearly 8,000 athletes from 13 countries and 46 states to experience running at 5,280 feet, while also bringing elite field winners from as far away as Kenya and as close as Lakewood, Colo. More than 100 participants represented 11 charity programs selected by the Denver Marathon raising more than $200,000 for various charities."

Maybe I am wrong (please correct me Shane) but I would think that Transformation.com would have a "Team" registration that we all will fall under.

I want to run the 1/2 marathon as well. I would love to run with the T.com team! It would be great to be a part of this event. I would love to meet Bill and the whole team! Hopefully we can find out some info soon....

Quite a few of us went ahead and registered. I haven't booked flight and hotel yet. I would like all or most of us to stay in the same hotel, so hopefully somebody will pick one sooner than later. I would go ahead and register. I can't wait to meet you and everybody. I think we are going to have an awesome presence there!

I'll be registering on 3/1 (as soon as more $$ rolls in). I would suppose that people are flying in Friday/Saturday and out Monday. Is this true for the majority of you? Hotel reservations can come later - I just want to get flights while they are cheaper

Hi, Julie - One of the guys here said it is best to get there a few days early to acclimate to the air there. I haven't booked yet, I am trying to decide what I can swing time-wise. I am a little spooked about the air, although I heard other peeps that went last year said they were worried before the went and then felt fine with it once there. I am so attached to my dog and leaving her for the cruise is already a biggy for me. I wish I could drive there with her but I think my SO would commit me, not to mention I would have to take way too many days off!:>)

Any news yet? This thread is two months old and haven't heard anything yet. The sooner we make a commitment, the more likely we are to be committed. So far I plan on going, but the longer we wait...
