Take Charge Transforming This Tuesday!!! 24/07/2012

Hi Team!!

Posting early because evenings are just too chaotic for me right now. Yesterday's Hot Yoga class was KILLER. In fact, we don't even need a heater here to do hot yoga, it's already hot as heck! I was sweating so much my hands were actually slipping on the yoga mat and I had to wipe it down, huh...who said Yoga was relaxing?? I felt like an abused pretzel.

Wobbled out of Yoga class, ran into hubby going into the gym. He asked me if I got caught running in the rain again...er, no. Went for another 40 mins on the elliptical but not HIIT - legs too shaky from all those balancing poses and yikes, my muscles still hurt today!!

Today's plan of attack:
UBWO with plyo cardio blasts in between circuits.

Meals:
M1 - 4 Egg whites scrambled with slice Turkey bologna and LF cheese slice, WW toast.
M2 - Shake w/ skimmed milk
M3 - Grilled chicken and side salad
M4 - Shake w/ skimmed milk
M5 - Grilled chicken with winter melon and mushrooms soup.
M6 - LF Yogurt and 3 fresh passion fruit.

Going to go prep my lunch now and dinner now. Gotta get to the gym by 5pm today Take care everyone and hope you have a transforming and energetic day!!

Cheers,
Nikky.

Good morning Nikky and all my GG pals!

Nik - awesome to see you all fired up for Tuesday already! I love it!

Just wanted to check in as I have been crazy busy. Sunday I helped cut up trees from the storms a few weeks ago at my parents and yesterday well I felt like a truck hit me... Joe you want a good workout for you or your clients... cutting and splitting wood. That's it:-) So yesterday I took the day off from workouts and am ready to roll again today!

Todays win list

Back workout/12 min Hiit
Meditate on letting go of what I can not control
Follow Bills BFL guidelines and stay around 2200 cals
Make my wife feel special as it is her birthday:-)

God has blessed us all with the power of today... let's make the most of it!!

I love this group. No! LOVE LOVE LOVE this group. Good morning Diane, Nikki, Brian, you hot yoga tree cutting inspirational people!!

Good Morning!!!!

I am returning to Camp this weekend and need a room mate. If anyone knows anyone wanting to share a room please let me know.

Plans for today include light meals and tons of water. Yesterday I did great, and had small meals of fruit and raw almonds, and my bigger meal was whole wheat bread toasted with salad and avocado. It was divine. For dinner, I had a salad with tons of lettuce, whole beans, onions and some fresh salsa. My son wanted to eat out so we did, and I ate clean.

I am concerned with this pain cycle that I will make things worse if I do upper body work, I can feel anger building up, so I am focusing on gratitude instead. It's funny, when you focus on gratitude, somehow, the pain just doesn't exist.

Say a prayer for my back. I hate drugs so I am not taking any. I went though this last year around the holidays, so I am sure it will pass.

It's interesting how our lives change when we Transform. I still am feeling the same pain, but I am more into observing it rather than absorbing it. I don't know if that makes sense at all? I guess you could say yes, it is something that I have, but it does not have ME.

This morning, I am grateful for so many things, but mostly, that I can maintain a positive outlook and actually am entertained a little with these circumstances, as I am learning, and feel more intellectually challenged that physically challenged.

I'd say that's pretty great growth.

Have a wonderful day!!!!

Good BEAUTIFUL Wyoming Morning to all my friends♥!
Nikki -Your Yoga inspires me!!! I'm always noticing that we have these great yoga, biking, pilates and peeps that are finding their niche in our got guts group. And so Nikki, you have inspired me...I used to love Ballet. Now I'm still a little "fluffy?" for ballet. But I checked into it. Wouldn't you know it.. an adult ballet class here in Laramie with an awesome instructor who says the adults all just wear exercise/yoga pants and a t shirt...Wow! I can do that! a leotard really had me spooked lol! So, I'm going to give it a try with the start up of fall semester in a few weeks!! Keep hitting that Yoga!!
B- Wood cutting? Been there! We used to cut, drag and stack it in the mountains for our wood stove..Workout deluxe!!! I love that you are always so special to your wife) She must be a sweet soul!! And you are the most awesome husband for being so good to her!!!
Jillian- I'm with you!! I LOVE our group!! I'm thrilled you are going back to camp!! Please tell them hi, give them hugs from Dawn in Wyoming!! Good luck to you! I will keep you and your back in my prayers!! And I so love your gratitude. Joseph has wonderful gratitude as well. You all inspire me to greatness!!! Love you all.
Diane-Our WONDERFULLY AWESOME FEARLESS LEADER!!! Woo Hoo! you're the best sista!! You keep me happy and grateful always...I am so humbled by your dedication to this group and daily posts and inspiring messages. You are always in my prayers as well)

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "In order to learn the important lessons in life, one must each day surmount a fear."
Step out of your bounds, out of your box and do something today that moves your soul. What a beautiful life! As crazy as it is, as much as I miss my house (that is currently rented out back in Idaho) miss my things that are all packed away in boxes and miss my cowboy who works out of town, and I hate whatever neurological disorder/Mini Strokes has its grips on me the last number of weeks, BUT ..I love my life. I love our sponanaity, I love that my sons are happy and ALL living their dreams..I love school, I love my friends and being a nurse I love my husband Buck and blessings we have. I love that when Buck returns we always go do something crazy -even an unexpected night spent on a mountain peak as we were reaching a goal of hitting the summit! There is so much good I can't worry about the bads..I can complain or I can find new heights and cross off bucket list items and add new ones..I choose to find new heights! Next week my 1st sememster of my Doct at U of Utah will be complete! How exciting! So Friday brings a new adventure! Riding our horses, camping, Denver Zoo? Kayaking in Steamboat? Whatever it is I'll be spending it with the love of my life and what could be better? I love you all! Have a very blessed day ♥ ♥
Oh BTW...University stairs yesterday, running today...
M1whole wheat tortilla and egg beater
M2 Rite Lite Shake
M3 Grilled chicken and stewed tomatoes
M4 Rite Lite Shake
M5 Golden Pancake YUMM!!!

Good morning all!

Nikky, You post whenever you want. Sounds like you a good workout yesterday and another one today. Keep making those muscles sore, it's only a feeling, right?
Brian, Yep, sometimes those 'home' workouts are the best. You always discover a few unused muscles. Happy birthday to the wife!
Diane, Thanks for all of the JOY this morning. Hope you are feeling it, too. Loved that last picture, so refreshing.
Jillian, Sounds like you are getting more in tune with your body and with who you are. Keep it up and safe travels to Denver. Saying a prayer for your back pain, I know what that's like.
Terri, Even as quiet as I am, I have to keep learning that "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all". Hang in there.

Back the hustle and bustle of daily routine today. Walked around the neighborhood with my morrning coffee just before dawn this moring while it was still a cool 80 degrees. The morning air feels so good, a perfect time for reflection and thanksgiving. Had another good cardio session at the gym afterwards to get supercharged with endorphins before work. I may start doing cardio every morning and move my 3 weight days to the afternoon. I think it's good to be flexible, at least until you get it right. Wishing eveyone a 'positively' beautiful and happy day.

Plan for today:
Fuel:
M1- Green shake
M2 - egg/spinach wrap
M3 - Vanilla RLS
M4 - Tomato/Pepper soup and banana
M5 - Vanilla RLS
M6 - greek yogurt w/blueberries
Exercise:
AM: wake-up walk and 1,000 calories on the eliptical
PM: Yoga and abs
Gratitudes:
I am thankful for fresh air and deep breathes,
...endless possibilities,
...conversations with friends.

Happy Tuesday everyone!!
Hi Nikky, Brian, Diane, Jillian, Dawn, Larry and all GG teamies to come.
Brian- Happy bday to your wife.
Jillian- so cool that you are going back to camp!! Saying prayers for pain relief.
Dawn- great post-- you are so uplifting.
Larry- love the quotes and the pics-- except the lady in the box freaked me out a little!

a.m. workout- spinning
p.m. workout- 5-25 UBWO
meals: 4 shakes, one orange, m5- meatloaf, potatoes, salad, m6- EFL pudding

I made the meatloaf recipe last night out of EFL-- but didn't follow it to the tee. Dennis was surprised that he liked it-- since he LOVES my usual meatloaf.

I hurt my leg when I was in California (actually before I left, it just worsened on the trip)-- so I have been taking it easy-- back to regular (but adjusted) workouts this week. I had my leg worked on back to back last week-- which was a bit much. The swelling is starting to reduce-- so that's a good thing.
I'm being very careful so that I can avoid the knee brace, and definitely crutches!

I found out this morning that my coworker went to check on her Aunt's dog in her Aunt's garage on Saturday. It is way too hot to keep a dog in the garage. So after much talking, I convinced her that we should go to her Aunt's house to put the dog inside. On our way to the car, she realized that she didn't have the key to the house. I couldn't convince her to break her lunch date so that we could still move the dog. But she did promise to go to the house this evening and take the dog home. I feel so bad for that dog.
Her Aunt is going to be out of town until Sunday.

Angelina Jolie has been sick for more than a month. The vet who has been treating her sent us to a specialist. Specialist are expensive-- $565 later, she was diagnosed-- but will still have to wear the cone of shame until the itching stops. Poor baby.

I'm getting off early to go to the doctor.
Have a great day everyone!
Nat
