When to listen...when to ignore?
I would like to know when you listen and when you ignore...
I blew my shoulders a little over 20 years ago and have learned my limits and how to adjust myself (arms and elbows) when doing activities. It's only after that did I start to listen to my body, inside and out. Getting older reminds me of when I used to work on a lot of project cars. You start the engine, listen for tapping, pinging, rotating and rattling sounds, smell for anything burning, feel for sputtering, pulling, you get my point, lol. When things were alerted they would get tended to and on I went. I try to do the same now but know there are times that things will work themselves out. Back to the analogy of the automobile...it's like brakes that squeak when you first use them...they'll usually work itself out after being used for a little bit. I have just got back into transforming and realized my lower back started to hurt. It was hurt but would subside after stretching. I kept up my workout and after 2 weeks it went away. I would have been more concerned it it were something that couldn't be relieved with stretching and dit da jow. I'm back up and ready for more. Looking forward to hear from you all. Oh, I just remembered too, when I would have a cold and or flu...over 20 years ago...I'd just stick on a heavy sweat shirt and work out. I knew my workout wouldn't be at it's optimal but after exercising and cranking my body temp up for a period of time, my illness would be gone, quickly. Well, after hitting 30, I noticed it only made it worse, total bummers. |
