Four brain surgeries
Wow what a year it has been. A year ago I thought I was dying, I was so close to being in a comma. I was taken to the ER for the fourth time and figured it was my last. We had no idea what was wrong with me. I woke up to find they placed a shunt in my head and life returned to me. I have hydrocephalus. That was July 29,2011. Then Dec of 2011 I came dwn with meningitis, i had to have three more brain surgeries, it left me debilitated and I have double vision. My eating and exercising have suffered. But I'm just now feeling strong enough to get serious again. I'm glad to be alive and know I need to make myself be productive on a daily basis. I came back here and hope to find a group.

I had no idea of the problems you have faced over this past year. That is incredible and you are so blessed to have had great/prompt medical care. Looking forward to the next Challenge as things gear up again. I gained a bit since that last one and want to trim off quite a few pounds as well as improve my endurance. See you in the Challenge.
