HHSD - Week of September 12th - September 18th

Hi, everyone! Stopping by to start this week's thread and say I hope you all enjoyed your weekends!

I started writing up some notes about my run yesterday to post, but it got so long I yanked it into a blog. While I was at it, I copied notes I had from last Tuesday into a blog as well. I really need to get back to consistent journaling of wins and gratitude--it always makes me feel good to go back and read that stuff.

Wins from Labor Day weekend - http://www.transformation.com/sherik...er-2011/154575
Long Run yesterday - http://www.transformation.com/sherik...sterday/154576

I gotta get working on my meal and exercise plan this week! Have a great day everyone!

Hello Ladies!

Just wanted to share some inspiration today.

The better version of myself will happily tell you that she's always believed that in life, it doesn't matter when you fall, or even how many times you fall. What matters is that you get up. The win won't be any less if you fall, in fact, it makes the win even sweeter.

I almost forgot about that.. until someone shared this video with me.

And now I'm buzzing with inspiration... !

I love this, so if you have 2 minutes and 37 seconds to spare, please consider watching it.

btw... am I the only one who cries watching this? LOL..

Just a quick stop by to post a link to my first blog attempt at "talking" about my recent funk - http://www.transformation.com/sherik...dgement/154650

Divina - I'll try to make time to watch that video sometime soon. I'm glad you're so inspired! Good for you for working on that and making it happen. It -is- coming from you--you're making your reality, and it's looking good. Thank you for reading through the blogs I posted yesterday, too. It truly means a lot to me.

Gotta go get the kids! Have a great day, everyone!

I'm so torn......between posting a quick "Hello" and reading through all of the links to blogs, videos, etc! My instinct is to read and watch.....so I am making myself post first!

I've consolidated my meal plan onto my iCal calendar that I use all the time. This is an effort to consolidate my "planning" and execution! We'll see if it works! Heck, I guess it is just good that I am finding a way to plan food again! :-)

My triathlon on Sunday was fabulous! The bike course was dangerous, but me and my TANK of a mountain bike didn't have much of a problem! :-) Guess sometimes it pays to be cheap! Ha-ha. I ended the race with no leg cramps! Whoo-hoo! That is a first for me! I also ended the race feeling like I could have pushed myself harder. First I was bummed that I felt this way, but then realized that it is okay to take this feeling into my training for the next one in 5 weeks. I'm actually quite inspired!

The past 2 days I've spent doing the final preparation to track all 750 students' Running Club efforts! This was a BIG program that I took on & I now appreciate the last volunteer even more! Luckily she is around and I can tell her that! :-)

Better go! Busy night for us!

Wishing you all health, happiness and inspiration to tackle whatever you choose!

Kath - Yay for your legs feeling good at the end of your tri this weekend--that is AWESOME news! I'm glad you were able to enjoy it and not let those creeping thoughts get too far. Oh--doesn't it feel good to feel GOOD!?!

I'm trying to focus to prioritize what I want to do today. There is a lot, and I just need to choose where to start! Oh wait--I already started--I got a 5-25 HIIT run in this morning! AHHHH Ok, oh, and my stretching! It sure is nice to get back into the practice of looking at wins rather than looking at to-dos. Each mode of thinking has its place, and when I feel myself starting to stress, I think I'm going to try to shift to focusing on what makes me feel good. Can I do that and still get stuff on my to-do list done? We'll see! I bet the answer is YES! Now I gotta go get the kids. I GET to go get the kids and start a great day. Continue a great day....

Have your own great day, everyone!

P.S.: I did see Bill's post, and I was super stoked to see it. How cool is that? Super cool. Seriously!

P.P.S.: I am grateful for the feeling of hope. I am grateful for a healthy body. I am grateful for healthy and beautiful kids. I am grateful for all the time I've spent with Saph this week. I am grateful for the opportunity at every moment to feel good. I am grateful for the inspiration to make the most of those opportunities!

Quick hello!

Did you watch the video yet? http://youtu.be/cM5A1K6TxxM

I just saw Bill's blog --- That is super awesome... I'm so happy to see that name there... and at the very top! WOO HOO! Very proud of you my dear HHSD'er... !

Not as focused on transformation this week.... among other things, I have been focused on reading THE HELP, which a coworker lent to me. I'm halfway through and it's sooooo good.... in fact... logging off to try and finish it tonight....

Though I am not very good at commenting on your posts... I have read them and am happy to hear from you both Kathryn & Sheri! I appreciate it whenever you post!

Okay.. my book is calling me.. good night!

For closure, I did watch it.... and I don't want to be a downer, but I wasn't that moved by it--perhaps because I didn't know her personally. I was impressed--it was cool for sure! I guess I sort of expect that if an athlete is going to fall/trip, she'll get back up and go for it as hard as she can. I get the analogy, though, and I appreciate the meaning behind it. Think about this, though--when you fall during a race, adrenaline and training will most likely override any conscious decision to get back up and keep going or not. When you "fall" in life, things aren't as automatic. Or could they be? I guess that's a great question.
